CBS LA has learned 113 LAFD members are off-duty, without pay, for refusing to comply with the city's vaccine mandate. The mandate requires employees to either be vaccinated or test twice a week at their expense. LAFD says there has been no impact to operations. Last week, LAFD notified 222 members that they were non-compliant. 84 members complied before being suspended, 138 ended up being sent home without pay this week. After being sent home, 25 became compliant and are back on the job. 113 remain off-duty without pay.

One of Florida’s Biggest Hospital Systems Suspends All Covid Vaccine Mandates

One of Florida’s biggest hospital systems suspended all of its Covid vaccine mandates.

Advent Health will no longer require its 83,000 employees to be vaccinated against Covid.

The decision to suspend the vax mandate comes after Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill preventing employers from enforcing vax mandates.

The company cited recent decisions by federal courts to block the CMS vaccine mandate and the “complexity of federal and state laws surrounding exemptions.”

Employees are still required to declare their Covid vaccine status.

The Cleveland Clinic also announced it suspended its vaccine mandate, allowing unvaccinated workers to keep their jobs.

After a federal judge blocked the Biden administration’s vaccine requirement for health care workers that received funding from Medicare and Medicaid, Cleveland Clinic finally sided with its outraged employees and announced that its chain of hospitals is “pausing the implementation of our Covid-19 vaccine policy.”

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WSPA) – A federal judge has blocked the vaccine requirement for federal contractors.

According to the attorney general’s office, this is the third time courts have agreed with Attorney General Wilson and blocked vaccine mandates imposed by the Biden administration.

Judge Stan Baker in the U.S. Court for the Southern District of Georgia (Augusta) heard oral arguments Friday and issued a preliminary injunction today against enforcing the vaccine mandate, officials reported.
