PARADISE Valley, Arizona

No one was hurt during an apparent explosion on Tuesday in Paradise Valley.

The incident happened at 9:45 a.m. on April 16 near 37th St & Lincoln Dr.

Phoenix Fire says crews responded to the scene and found 2 manhole covers that were lying on the street.

Arizona Public Service also responded to the scene and determined there had been a small underground explosion in an electrical vault.

"Hazmat teams were dispatched to the scene to meter the area for natural gas and all reading [sic] came back zero," Phoenix Fire Capt. Todd Keller said. "None of the surrounding homes or businesses lost power."

EB Lincoln Dr is closed bw 37th & 40th St due to the investigation.

DALLAS, Texas

Dallas Fire-Rescue says no one was injured in a reported explosion near the Federal Building in downtown Dallas.

The explosion was reported on S. Griffin Street at 2:35 p.m.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they could see smoke coming from a manhole across the street with the cover blown off.

First responders said there was no fire in the hole by the time they got there.

SKY 4 spotted a large crowd of people outside while crews investigated.

DFR says the manhole housed an electrical vault. Oncor was called to investigate the exact cause of the explosion.
