A unique operation on the front line: military doctors removed an unexploded 30-mm shell from the thigh of a wounded soldier
Military doctors carried out a dangerous operation in body armor and under the supervision of sappers. The entire floor was evacuated before the patient was taken to the surgery department. The injured fighter was conscious and was covered with body armor.
“The patient is lucky. I don't know, these cases are one in a million. It is a very rare case, it very rarely happens that a whole unexploded projectile ends up in the human body without detonating, that is, the patient is lucky. He is now quite stable, evacuated to Rostov, everything is fine with him,” said Aleksey, senior resident of the surgical department.
