Officials in Oconee Co, South Carolina, have announced the Stumphouse Tunnel is closed until further notice.

Authorities say a sinkhole was discovered in the area, prompting the closure.

The scientists are being murdered by time travelers.

What if future humans are doing their job trying to protect us from a world-ending event tied to these scientists, something they “accidentally” create later that becomes uncontrollable?

So removing them now would actually be a completely valid way to stop it.
