The left front tire of a tri-axle truck became stuck in a sink hole that opened up on Seventh St in Charleroi Monday afternoon.
“They were delivering the excavating machine when the truck that was delivering it went in the hole,” Manning said. “When the tow truck came and lifted the truck out, you could see a void that was about 7 feet deep under there. It was nothing but a void covered by asphalt.”
Borough Manager Joe Manning did not know what caused the sinkhole.

‼️🇺🇸💵 - Market signals and economic data show increasing indications of a collapse in the US dollar's status as the global reserve currency
▪️It has been clear that since Liberation Day investors have been pulling out of American bonds. US interest rates are significantly elevated relative to competitors like Germany. Borrowers - including the US government - are already feeling the pinch from the decline in US dollar hegemony. Even US corporates are shunning US dollar debt in favour of cheaper alternatives like euro debt.
▪️The US still runs a massive trade deficit, however. Typically this is funded by selling debt abroad. So, how are they still propping this up? Answer this question and you start to get a sense of why the US dollar is so fragile right now.
▪️This chart shows that foreigners have massively wound down on debt purchases since Liberation Day. Plugging the gap that opened up are US stocks. The trade deficit and hence US living standards are being propped up by foreign inflows into the stock market.
▪️When we dig into the data we see that this is not a broad market inflow. Rather, it appears that foreign investors are heavily invested in just a few big tech stocks - the so-called Magnificent 7.
▪️If the stock market crashes then financial inflows into the US will collapse. This will drive the US dollar downward to force the trade deficit closed. Despite having fallen in recent months, the US dollar still has far to fall.

The city said a sinkhole formed in one of the EB lanes of Watson Blvd near Olympia Dr late Tuesday afternoon.
Upon response from city crews, the sinkhole was determined to be the result of a water line break that is around 25 feet underground.

We had a exciting morning: Orange Man (4 mo tiger cat) was either grabbed by a hawk or coyote or something. He has a small cut but doesn’t want to walk more than necessary. Doesn’t want to get picked up. All limbs working. But he took himself off into a bedroom corner to recouperate. I put down a towel but he didn’t want to move onto it.
