A sinkhole has opened up on Main St off of Route 33 near Carson Ct.
Northampton Co officials are estimating the sinkhole stretches 100 feet up Main St past Carson Ct.
The intersection is closed for the time being.
This area is prone to sinkholes with the last one stabilized and backfilled in September of last year.
PennDOT official Sean Brown says that the sinkhole is of a "rather significant width and depth," causing all WB traffic to be restricted.
