Pinole is warning residents and drivers to steer clear of Orleans St after a section of the road collapsed late last night, prompting an urgent and ongoing safety response by city crews and East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD).
At approximately 10 p.m. Tuesday, a segment of Orleans St gave way unexpectedly. The cause is still under investigation, with EBMUD personnel on-site working to determine what led to the failure. Orleans St is closed from Zoe St to the end. All intersecting cross-streets are also inaccessible.
