Jason Maloney (-700) vs Joshua Greer (+450)
OFF LINE. One of my favorites things breaking down bets for boxing is letting known an off line. THIS IS ONE TRULY. But it’s a fight to stay away from unless you’re up big on bankroll & want to throw half a unit on Greer. LIVE DOG. Why is he live & more importantly why is the line off. Line is off because its going too much off recency. Greer was a big favorite as a prime prospect going into his last fight.. He lost against a solid opponent, a fight I was watched entirely live. I wouldn’t say that Greer looked bad because his boxing skills are always there, it’s that he was simply overmatched (that betting line was also off). His opponent in that fight (Pania) was very underrated AND most importantly, BIG. He had big big legs (even Ward & Tim Bradley took a min to speak about it) so ultimately the size to me was a big factor. It threw Greer off & I think it had Greer respecting Panias power that much more after being caught with a flash knock down. So that’s why the line is here now. Losing like that to a low name fighter & being beat doing it. But it’s a different matchup here. Maloney isn’t a physical specimen that possesses big power. This is the type of matchup Greer CAN get back to his ways & use his quickness & sharpness to counter Maloney. GREER IS A VERY GOOD BOXER DONT LET THIS LINE FOOL YOU. He’s not great, he’s not the best of the best but if you watch you will see exactly what I mean on his boxing skills alone. In terms of Maloney, solid fighter who’s motivated coming off a KO loss. < vs the best in the world in my opinion at the weight so no knock. But just because he’s facing a lesser opponent here in Greer does not mean he can’t lose. Like I said different matchup. Inoue knocked out Maloney. Greer will look to out box Maloney (Maloney still needs to be careful because Greers quickness & sharpness holds power) It’s a great great matchup that should be under (-250) & WOULD be if like I said, if not for Greers last performance. Maloney being the favorite makers sense to me because the most likely result of this fight is Maloney overvoluming Greer, simply being the aggressor throwing the most. But -700 is just way too much. -400 Maloney at most, but would be near -250 -300 for me.
Rene Alvarado (-120) vs Roger Gutierrez (+100).
They are 1-1 vs eachother, this settles it. Why I’m going Alvarado. So he won the 1st fight convincingly by KO & the 2nd fight was pretty dam crazy. Alvarado was put down several times including the 12 round which ultimately gave Gutierrez the decision… Close fight because other than the knockdowns, Alvarado won the rest of the fight… I believe he would of got the decision if just taking the early knockdowns & not the one in the 12th…< Big thing for me. So this time I think Alvarado makes adjustment to not get caught clean several times or atleast not in the 12th to give it up… (he wasn’t gassed really just got caught)… & fight how he fought 80% of the fight… He already showed me he can take the worst, not many stronger hearted fighters you will see than the Alvarado brothers… So there’s not much to this if you saw the 1st fight, it’s Gutierrez who has try & come up with something & THATS WHY the Vegas sees too & that’s why the losing fighter in the rematch is favored. Take Alvarado.

If you have been following my boxing for over a year, you took +350 Franco as underdog winner in the 1st matchup (posted free) 🔥 In the 2nd matchup, I broke down free again leaning Maloney (+150) based of sheer line value. In that 2nd fight, Maloney was robbed. Was getting comfortable picking apart Franco but the fight got called because of a “headbutt” that opened up Franco’s cut. Complete BS since Maloney was shown clear on video to open the cut with his jab. That was terrible for Maloney. So Iv been all over this matchup & will be giving the 3rd free because it’s only right. So why I like the distance here. 1st fight cruised to distance even with Maloney going down… but that fight had no real threat of not going 12. These are not 2 power punchers by any means AT ALL. Now you may ask me considering the 2nd fight why take the over 10.5? Well I’m of the mindset if that BS already happened, chances of it happening again are unlikely (assuming Francos wound is good which is confirmed). That’s my logic here so chances are they go back to tagging eachother the whole fight like the 1st fight AND like the 2nd fight was cruising towards. Motivation could play a bigger part here maybe since Maloney is a little pissed from last time which will then make Franco have to match it. That is something to keep in mind but overall over 10.5 for near even money considering what I mentioned is great value.
