CONFESSION BOOTH
The sun began to set for another long yet pathetic day. Overshadowing everything that had kept me on my wobbly feet in the morning like they're a silly joke that's been told by the circus clown[me]
The night feels more like a confession booth than part of the day, suffocating like I've just stepped on the moon without suit.
The moon looks at me cold, judging me like we're in a trial, making a decision for my sins. For how I have accepted defeat. For how I've yet began to just leave everything on hold for one more time as if life itself would even spare me a single droplet of kindness.
So I sit there, watching the clock as it makes no sound. As it stares back like it's waiting for me to finally pull my shit together instead of each night, same place, same routine, sit here and stare at it like it holds answers to the things I don't dare to ask out loud.
In the blink of an eye, it's dawn once again, the clock has stopped staring back, the shadow leaves. The sun comes back, rising up to shine over the corpse of my body as it lays withered on the bed. Same as always, quiet just like the way it was before. Nothing changes, nothing falls out of this circle of absolute doom.
Another day has started, another circle that lacks empathy, productivity, life as it turns like the snake biting it's own tale.

I stand and give
My eyes to you
One by one
Shadowed shore
Far undone
To you I pour
Corroded sun
Wake me
As one
My eyes to you
One by one
Shadowed shore
Far undone
To you I pour
Corroded sun
Wake me
As one
