Forwarded from Mnémosyne's Echo Chamber
The Junkerhaus in Germany is probably one of the places I want to visit the most in Europe.
Forwarded from Mnémosyne's Echo Chamber
It was created by Karl Junker, a schizophrenic painter, sculptor and architect from Lemgo.
Every piece of furniture, each wall, and even the ceiling is carved.
The Junkerhaus kind of is a portal to his mind.
He relished in thinking that one day, in the manner of Wagner, his work would be recognized as revolutionary. Even if it means centuries ensuing his time.
