Welcome to the Official Forta Telegram!
Meeting demands of growth & moving to Polygon

Great news Forta devs and users! The community is growing faster than we expected and to keep up with the overwhelming demand we began migrating all Forta smart contracts from Goerli to Polygon today at 12:00 UTC.

This will provide the infrastructure needed to add horizontal node scaling, a new assigner with registry listing, in addition to an enhanced smart contract protocol, as well as laying the groundwork for upcoming improvements and new features that the core developers can’t wait to share with all of you. This is an essential step in the protocol roadmap, so keep your eye on the #announcements channel in Discord for news about the next product release in the coming weeks!

Alerts and current published agents will be unavailable while we transition.

For Agent Developers

-The Forta team will transfer all existing agents over to Polygon. Nothing required from you to make this happen.
-Agent devs will need a new SDK to publish agents after the transition. The new SDK will be linked here, as well as on the current developer SDK.
-For the coming weeks, devs will need to get MATIC tokens to publish on Polygon, information will be provided in the SDK docs. We are introducing a better solution to this soon.

For Agent reporting and alerts

-The transition process began today at 12:00 UTC, and will be completed by Wednesday October 20th at 12:00 UTC. Once it has begun, no alerts will be triggered until it is completed.
-Published agents (both existing and new) will not show up until the transition is complete.
-Agents can still be published during the transition, but will not show up immediately. Please don’t freak out. Nothing is being lost, we promise 🙂

Take part here: https://docs.forta.network/en/latest/contest1/

Compound Grants has provided five sets of agent requirements to meet the security needs of the Compound Protocol. Any agent developer may take part in this contest by creating and publishing an open-source agent that meets the requirements of any of the five challenges. The agent must then be submitted to the contest judges through a form that will be linked below the challenge details on docs, along with the developer’s email and Discord (for prize delivery). Only the first ten (10) submissions that meet the requirements of each challenge will be considered, for a total of 50 judged submissions.

A single winner will be chosen by a panel from Forta community partner Nethermind, and will be awarded $1500 worth of COMP tokens, as well as a unique NFT reward from Forta. Winners will be announced on October 29th on Discord and Twitter (if they chose to share their Twitter handle) by the official Forta Twitter account.

Agent developers are welcome to submit agents to as many contests as they are able between Oct. 20th and Oct. 27th.

This is the first contest of many, so don’t be TOO bummed if you miss out ;). More coming soon!

Compete to win up to $5000 in USDC and Forta NFTs by building a Forta Agent! Starting NOW!

Take part here: https://docs.forta.network/en/latest/contest3-oz/

OpenZeppelin has provided two sets of agent requirements to address the security needs of their smart contracts library. Any agent developer may take part in this contest by creating and publishing an open-source agent that meets the requirements of either challenge. The agent must then be submitted to the contest judges through a form that is linked on the contest docs page (judging criteria & best practices available on the contest homepage linked above), along with the developer’s email and Discord for prize delivery. Only the first twenty five (25) submissions that meet the requirements of each challenge will be considered, for a total of 50 judged submissions.

Three winners per challenge - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place - will be chosen by a panel of judges, and will be awarded $1500, $750, and $250 of USDC respectively, as well as a unique Forta NFT reward on POAP. Winners will be announced on 11/29 on Discord and Twitter (if they chose to share their Twitter handle) by the official Forta Twitter account.

Agent developers are welcome to submit agents to one or both challenges from November 18th - Nov 25th. Let the games begin!
