Houthis terrorists in Yemen—who are backed by Iran—have captured additional territory that places them at a strategic international shipping chokepoint in the Red Sea region.
In addition to capturing the port cities of Mocha and Dhubab, the Houthis have seized the islands of Mayun and Perim at the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. The terrorists fought against official Yemeni government troops, who conceded defeat and surrendered the port cities and islands to the Houthis.
While the terrorist fighters now occupy the middle of the narrow strait—and can block the passage of ships—they’ve also made themselves vulnerable to US firepower.
Former Navy captain Morgan Murphy, in a Fox News interview, said the Houthis “have gained what we could call the cork in the Red Sea bottle. But they’ve put themselves into a kill box…If [Trump] so chooses, he can wipe them off the face of that rock pretty easily…The Houthis have just massed their troops on that rock. So what that is, what we would call that in the Navy, is a kill box.”

Hezbollah Appears to Be Planning New Attack Against Israel
IDF surveillance and intelligence has provided indicators that Hezbollah terrorist forces in southern Lebanon are gearing up to carry out a major attack on northern Israel sometime in the future.
There is evidence that Hezbollah is tracking the IDF’s activities and attempting to sustain covert operations in an effort to remain undetected.
The IDF Northern Command has warned that Hezbollah is likely preparing for a major fight and is awaiting orders from Iran. The Northern Command has said the Israeli government cannot afford to be complacent, and that diligence is still needed even as Hezbollah has been relatively quieter as of late.

On Monday, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent placed an unusual post on X in an attempt to search out and shut down more of Iran’s financial lifelines. Here is what Bessent wrote:
“Treasury launched Operation Economic Outcast to cut off all financial lifelines to the Iranian regime and its enablers. That’s why I issued a new call for whistleblowers to come forward with tips about those who facilitate Iran’s terror.
“To anyone worldwide with information on these lifelines: This is your chance. If you have actionable information for Treasury, you may be eligible for an award, no matter where you live or who signs your paycheck. If you see something, say something.”

US and Houthis Meet in Oman; Trump Declines Help to Saudi Arabia
Little is known about the meeting, but it is reported that over last weekend, US officials met with Houthi delegates in Oman. Though the Houthis have taken control of a key strait in the Red Sea, they claim they will not attack US or Israeli ships, but only vessels that belong to Saudi Arabia. No official confirmation has been given regarding this report, and no further details have been made available.
Could this be a trick on the part of the Houthis to placate President Trump and lull him into not attacking the Houthis?
Saudi Arabia has approached the US and asked for help in attacking the Houthis—and so far, the US has declined. This has given the Houthis the freedom to continue their attacks on Saudi Arabia without any hindrance from US forces.
The only sympathetic party so far for Saudi Arabia has been—you guessed it—Israel. Israel has provided military intelligence to Saudi Arabia, enabling the Saudis to better defend themselves from the Houthis.

Iran’s Latest Strategies to Hurt the US and the West—Will Iran Win the War Via the US Midterm Elections?
Unable to do much to fight back against Israel and the US, Iran and its terrorist proxy the Houthis are both using the same strategy to gain leverage over the West: the capturing of international waterways in an attempt to block the shipping of Mideast oil, thus affecting the economies of Europe and the US.
Iran is still doing all it can to restrict the flow of commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. And the Houthis have captured strategic islands and port towns in the Red Sea region, enabling them to cause havoc to commercial shipping there. The Houthis have also damaged Saudi oil pipelines and infrastructure, limiting Saudi Arabia’s ability to ship oil.
Yesterday, China’s foreign minister Wang Yi called upon his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, to have Iran reopen the Strait of Hormuz. According to a statement released by the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Yi said, “We urge all parties to take effective measures to reopen the Strait of Hormuz at an early date.”
However, notice the way Yi framed his statement: “We urge all parties.” That includes the US. Implied here is China’s expectation that the US will somehow cooperate in doing whatever it takes to reopen the Strait. China isn’t asking Iran alone to do something that would benefit everyone. It is suggesting the US is responsible for Iran’s closure of the Strait.
Currently, the US is also negotiating with the Houthis about keeping the Red Sea channel open. US Vice President J.D. Vance said, “We’ve also been engaged in direct conversations with the Houthis themselves, so we actually feel like we are on top of the situation.”
The Houthis claim their attacks will be limited to ships connected to Saudi Arabia. But the Houthis are terrorists who do whatever Iran tells them to do. Iran’s belligerence when it comes to both the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea promises only one outcome: an unpredictable instability that affects the commercial shipping carried out by many other nations.
Iran has no intention of doing anything that gives the appearance of conceding to the US. The Iranian regime and its puppets otherwise known as the Houthis have taken two vital waterways hostage in an attempt to secure favorable concessions from Europe and the US.
At stake is the US midterm elections. Iran would love for Trump to lose control of Congress. They know the Democratic Party will treat Iran with soft gloves. The Democratic Party has a long history of making concessions to Iran.
Iran remembers well how President Obama agreed to a nuclear deal that still allowed Iran to build toward its ultimate goal of a nuclear weapon, and how, in 2009, Obama refused to defend thousands of protesting Iranian civilians who ended up being killed by the regime.
Iran wants a return to the glory days of a weak US that didn’t interfere with its aspirations to terrorize the world and its own people. You can bet that Iran’s hardline leaders will be watching the US election night results with great eagerness.
Their hope is that ballot boxes in the US will serve as weapons in their favor.

New York Times Anti-Israel Bias
Recently, The Times of Israel reported on a study done by a professor at Yale School of Management that confirmed The Times’s biased coverage of the Gaza war—a bias that was clearly anti-Israel (no surprise there).
Out of a total of 1,559 articles spanning from October 7, 2023 to June 7, 2024, the report concluded that the Times “assign[ed] near-exclusive agency and responsibility to Israel while diminishing Hamas’s role in sustaining the conflict.”
The study said that Israel was depicted as the “sole aggressor” of the war, and that Palestinians were “portrayed as passive victims.”
When asked about the study, The New York Times gave the expected excuse: “Our editors make careful and deliberate choices about every story we publish to ensure our language, framing, prominence and tone remain true to our mission of independent journalism.” The Times added, “Our commitment is to independent reporting that our readers can trust.”
Earlier this week, the Times even went so far as to say that “Israelis still largely view themselves as the victims of Oct. 7.” So the Times is trying to convince us that Israelis were NOT the victims even when Hamas killed off 1,200 of them and kidnapped another 251.
That statement generated a firestorm of pushback against the Times, which on September 16 claimed the line was an “editing error.”
The paper’s persistent bias against Israel is independent all right—independent of reality.

We know from the past that Trump usually hides his cards when it comes to his next moves. And that he likes to troll his opponents, leaving them uncertain about his next steps.
Trump added that any decisions he makes are likely to lean on input from the Arab Gulf states, who will have representatives present at the UN for the upcoming General Assembly meeting. He said, “I want to find out where they are and how they are doing.”
In the meantime, a political adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei—who has remained missing in action—has given Iran’s current stance on the war: “Our fighters will not open the Strait of Hormuz until the criminal Trump and the bloodthirsty Netanyahu are pulled down from the seat of power, and this is the first stage of the Iranian nation’s revenge.”

Scripture: Our Sure Foundation and Hope
In the book of Revelation, the apostle John is called up into God’s throne room at the beginning of chapter 4. So incredible was the splendor and majesty of the scene before him that he had difficulty capturing it in human words. Around the “one seated on the throne…was a rainbow,” as well as “twenty-four thrones” occupied by elders “in white garments, with golden crowns on their heads.”
“From [God’s] throne came flashes of lightning, and rumblings, and peals of thunder,” and there were living creatures all around, who “never cease to say, ‘Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!’”
This scene gives us just a small taste of how glorious life will be for us in the future. Heaven will bless us far more than we can ever imagine. And it won’t be because of what is there, but who is there. We will live in the presence of the God who created us, gave us life, and intended for us to enjoy fellowship with Him forever.
In heaven, we will be where God intended for us to be all along—with Him. And we will have the privilege of standing before His throne, lifting up worship and praise to Him. That is why our future home will be so glorious, so exhilarating, so fulfilling.

Pew Research Center has released a poll in which only 17 percent of Israelis and 21 percent of Palestinians in east Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria believe that a peaceful coexistence is possible between Israel and a Palestinian state.
The same poll has been taken since 2013, and the numbers were statistically the same in 2025 as they are for 2026, with the Israeli responses being the lowest on record so far.
There are many Israelis and Palestinians who don’t want a two-state solution. Israelis fear for their security because of rampant Palestinian terrorism, and too many Palestinians say Israel has no right to exist.

The two leaders will talk about de-escalation as well as national security issues, and energy and food security.

Iran’s One-Sided Proposal for Ending the War
Iran has sent President Trump a list of seven conditions the US must meet to bring an end to the war.
Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei posted on social media, “The United States, if it wants to extricate itself from the predicament it has created, must accept Iran’s rights and conditions.”
Three of the conditions, which were revealed to Al Jazeera news, are (1) an end to the war “on all fronts,” (2) the release of frozen Iranian funds, and (3) the lifting of the US naval blockade.
Trump’s response? “Iran wants to make a deal. They’re not ready yet, in my opinion. They’re going to either make a deal that’s good, or we’re not going to make a deal at all.”
Before Trump makes a decision about next steps, he plans to meet on Tuesday at the UN with key leaders from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar.
Trump also plans to talk about Iran at his address to the UN General Assembly.
Iran has sent President Trump a list of seven conditions the US must meet to bring an end to the war.
Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei posted on social media, “The United States, if it wants to extricate itself from the predicament it has created, must accept Iran’s rights and conditions.”
Three of the conditions, which were revealed to Al Jazeera news, are (1) an end to the war “on all fronts,” (2) the release of frozen Iranian funds, and (3) the lifting of the US naval blockade.
Trump’s response? “Iran wants to make a deal. They’re not ready yet, in my opinion. They’re going to either make a deal that’s good, or we’re not going to make a deal at all.”
