Over the course of this summer, more than 2,200 Jewish immigrants have chosen to relocate from the USA to Israel.

More Than 100 UN Workers Connected to Hamas’s October 7 Attack on Israel
Yesterday, the office of the inspector general for USAID announced that it has identified more than 100 current or former United Nations Relief and Works Agency staffers who either took part in Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel or are affiliated with Hamas.
Out of the 100 names submitted for further investigation, three individuals have already been identified for either suspension or debarment. All three are former UNRWA schoolteachers. One helped to kidnap hostages during the terror attacks, another has been identified as a Palestinian Islamic Jihad operative, and the third helped to hold hostages captive.

IDF Destroys Hamas Weapons Hidden Inside Mosques
We all know that Hamas hides its weapons in places that expose Palestinian civilians to danger. Hamas has stored and hidden its rocket launchers and weapons in schools, in hospitals, under neighborhoods, and in mosques—thus using civilians as human shields, making it extremely difficult for the IDF to eradicate Hamas’s presence in Gaza.
Earlier this week, the IDF and Shin Bet destroyed five storage facilities in which Hamas had hidden rockets, grenades, firearms, and explosive devices.
All five storage sites were inside mosques—leading the IDF to say, “This is another example of Hamas’ systematic exploitation of the civilian population and infrastructure, including mosques and humanitarian infrastructure, in violation of international law.”
Remember how Trump’s Board of Peace has urged Hamas to surrender its weapons?
I believe it is safe to say Hamas will NEVER comply 100 percent with that request. A terrorist organization that hides weapons of war inside mosques—in flagrant violation of international law—clearly has every intention of hiding as many weapons as possible in the hopes they will escape detection.
As Hamas continues to stall and delay the turning over of its weapons, who knows how many of those weapons are being hidden illegally in the hopes of rising up against Israel again in the future?

Sanctions Instead of Negotiations
After months of repeatedly attempting to negotiate with Iran about its nuclear program, the Strait of Hormuz, and other issues, President Trump has finally decided to focus solely on using economic pressure to end the war with Iran.
Trump has expressed no interest in returning to the Memorandum of Understanding, and instead, is hoping that Operation Economic Outcast will bring about the collapse of the Iranian regime.
The goal of the latest round of sanctions is to cut off the financial lifelines that have helped to sustain the Iranian government and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
According to the US Department of Treasury’s website, it has “mapped the networks, facilitators, and financial channels that Iran uses to smuggle oil, evade sanctions, and fund terror…The Iranian regime faces a clear choice: severe global isolation or a path to reintegration with the global economy.”
The big challenge is whether the US will include sanctions against Chinese banks—China has strong ties with Iran. When a reporter asked Trump directly whether he would sanction Chinese banks for their connections with Iran, he was evasive, saying, “Who said I’m not? You don’t know if I’m doing it…I don’t have to announce everything, do I?”
Yesterday, former Mossad chief David Barnea said the new sanctions were “another step” toward causing the Iranian regime to collapse. “Today, the entire world knows that the Iranian issue is not ours alone. The world is starting to understand that if the problem is not resolved, whether by ballistic missiles, terrorism, or nuclear weapons of mass destruction, should [Iran] ever have one.”

Scripture: Our Sure Foundation and Hope
In Psalm 8:1-6, David wrote,
“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glories above the heavens…When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet.”
David begins this hymn by proclaiming God’s infinite greatness. So vast and endless is God that His glories are “above the heavens”—His majesty extends beyond all that He has created. There is far more to the Creator than what creation can reveal to us.
As David marvels over the wonders of God’s handiwork, He asks, “What is man that you are mindful of him?” God is so exceedingly great that by comparison, man is nothing. Yet this high and exalted God who was able to create the entire universe from nothing has graciously and willingly lavished His care upon man. This shows the extent of His love for us.
Not only that, but God “crowned [man] with glory and honor” by entrusting him with the stewardship of all the earth. God has gifted us with a significant role in His creation.
We exist only because of God. Only He could have crafted this amazing universe that is our home. And He has given us dominion over a special part of His creation, the earth. Apart from God, none of this would have happened. In all His matchless greatness, He has chosen to give us an extraordinary place in His creation and to pour out His care upon us.
As we ponder God’s unsurpassing greatness, and as we think upon how much He loves us, there is only one appropriate response: a heart filled with ongoing adoration and praise.

Yesterday, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were preparing to launch rockets that have the capability of placing mines in the Strait of Hormuz. US Central Command carried out a preemptive strike—the first in a month—against the rocket launchers, which were based on Larak Island.
US Navy Captain Tim Hawkins, a spokesperson for Central Command, reported, “Earlier today U.S. forces struck two Iranian launchers on Larak Island…Last week, CENTCOM completed clearing sea mines from the strait’s international shipping routes. U.S. forces are monitoring the area closely and remain prepared to protect the free flow of commerce through this essential waterway.”
Iran retaliated by firing missiles and drones at two US bases in Jordan. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the attack in Jordan was a “necessary and lawful answer” to the US strikes on Larak Island.

US Treasury Secretary: Iran Is “Losing Economically”
Earlier this morning at a meeting for G20 finance ministers, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent responded to the news about yesterday’s flareup by saying, ‘I would think that they are lashing out kinetically because they are losing economically.”
At the G20 meeting, Bessent is urging other countries to cut their financial ties with Iran, warning that not to do so could sever their access to the US financial system.
Bessent did not identify which countries the US is going after, but said, “We know who they are. They know who they are. So when the hammer of U.S. Treasury actions fall upon them, they will have no one to blame but themselves.”

The International Atomic Energy Agency has released a new report this week, in which it says, “The agency’s lack of information and access to facilities to verify [Iran’s nuclear program] is a matter of proliferation concern.”
The report adds, “The agency cannot provide any information on the current size, composition, or whereabouts of the stockpile of enriched uranium in Iran or whether Iran has suspended all enrichment activities.”

Latest Strikes Between US and Iran
The US and Jordan were able to intercept “the majority” of the most recent volley of Iranian missiles and drones fired toward US military assets in Jordan and other locations in the Gulf region.
Yesterday, US Central Command reported that US forces “successfully completed a wave of strikes against Iranian military targets Sept. 1…including air defense sites, radar systems, maritime assets and facilities, mine laying capabilities, and communications sites.”

Trump Not Pursuing Negotiations
Trump has said he likes where the US stands with regard to the latest ongoings in Iran. He said the economy is “totally collapsing.” He added that at this time, he is not attempting to bring about a return to the negotiating table: “I couldn’t care less if they sign a worthless, to them, agreement. They are just playing out the inevitable. When are the Iranian people going to rise up and fight?”
In the meantime, Pakistan—which is a neighbor of Iran and also a Muslim nation—is continuing efforts to bring both sides back to the negotiating table. Pakistan’s army chief, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, recently met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and said, “Regional de-escalation, breaking the military stalemate and exploring a negotiated settlement to restore regional peace were discussed.”

According to an official quoted in The Jerusalem Post, negotiators who are working to implement the Board of Peace’s plans for Gaza have not yet achieved success on the issue of getting Hamas to disarm: “Unfortunately, there is no progress on the issue of disarmament.”
The official added, “We have always emphasized that the issue of reconstruction is linked to the issue of disarmament.” For reconstruction to take place, Hamas must first surrender its weapons.
Hamas is now accusing Israel of sabotaging the Gaza peace plan talks. Two days ago, on September 1, Israeli special forces captured a Hamas security chief—Mouin Mohammed Al-Arabeed—who, according to Netanyahu, “was responsible for hiding and moving our hostages, hiding senior Hamas officials, force build-up, and attempting to restore the capabilities of the terror organization.”
In response to the capture of the Hamas official, Hamas has claimed Israel is endangering the progress of the peace plan talks.

Kuwait’s foreign ministry responded by saying Iran’s attacks were “blatant Iranian aggression” and “a direct threat.” It said Iran’s action “constitutes a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.”
Iran claims its retaliatory strikes targeted US military bases in both Kuwait and the UAE.
Speaking earlier this morning to Israeli Defense Ministry employees, Defense Minister Israel Katz warned Iran that if it attacks the Jewish nation, “We will cripple all of Iran’s national military and civilian infrastructure—including energy infrastructure—and return Iran deep into the Stone Age and darkness.”
He said, “There are signs we are seeing that indicate that the heavy economic pressure Iran is under and the fear of an uprising and the fall of the regime could push them to desperate measures.”

IDF Shuts Down Major Hezbollah Command Center
Yesterday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the IDF has cleared out a major underground bunker that served as a Hezbollah stronghold on the Ali al-Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon, which stands about 2,000 feet above the surrounding area.
This bunker served as a command center or underground fortress for Hezbollah’s operations in southern Lebanon, with extensive and deep tunnel networks in which terrorist fighters lived and stored their weapons. It is reported that with Iran’s help, Hezbollah spent 20 years building the complex.
The IDF has worked continuously since June to take possession of the ridge. The facility has now been fully captured, and the Hezbollah fighters within have either been killed, taken captive, or have fled.
Netanyahu said, “We instructed the IDF to clear it. I congratulate the chief of staff, the Northern Command commander and our heroic soldiers. They did tremendous work there. Today we can say it: the Ali Taher ridge no longer threatens us.”
According to an X post by Decode Conflict, “The battle for the Ali al-Taher ridge in southern Lebanon is not a minor contest over another piece of territory. It is a struggle over the geography Hezbollah needs to survive as a military organization…

Yesterday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the IDF has cleared out a major underground bunker that served as a Hezbollah stronghold on the Ali al-Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon, which stands about 2,000 feet above the surrounding area.
This bunker served as a command center or underground fortress for Hezbollah’s operations in southern Lebanon, with extensive and deep tunnel networks in which terrorist fighters lived and stored their weapons. It is reported that with Iran’s help, Hezbollah spent 20 years building the complex.
The IDF has worked continuously since June to take possession of the ridge. The facility has now been fully captured, and the Hezbollah fighters within have either been killed, taken captive, or have fled.
Netanyahu said, “We instructed the IDF to clear it. I congratulate the chief of staff, the Northern Command commander and our heroic soldiers. They did tremendous work there. Today we can say it: the Ali Taher ridge no longer threatens us.”

Scripture: Our Sure Foundation and Hope
In Psalm 2 is a prophecy about the futility of opposing God and the certainty of Christ’s future rule on Earth. Verse 2 speaks of how “the kings of the earth set themselves…against the Lord and against his Anointed.” Then in verse 4, we see a colorful description of God’s response to those who plot against Him: “He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.”
Worldly authorities have long deceived themselves into thinking they will prevail against God. But they are no match for Him. In verses 5-6, God proclaims a warning and a promise: “Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, ‘As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.’”
Here, God warns earthly rulers and kingdoms that their defeat is sure. When Christ returns and sets up His throne in Zion, or Jerusalem, He will triumph and rule as the supreme authority over all.
It is frustrating to see the wicked flourish as they do today. In this moment, evil seems to be winning over good. But Psalm 2 is one of many guarantees given in Scripture of this marvelous truth: There is coming a day when evil will be wiped out and never again exist on Earth, and righteousness will reign forever.
Psalm 2 closes with this reassuring promise: “Blessed are all who take refuge in him” (verse 12). We who have taken shelter in Christ—who have put our trust in Him—have the promise of eternal blessings. That is why we can join the psalmist and say to God, “In your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore” (Psalm 16:11).
