Yesterday, the UK parliament concluded that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps poses a threat to national security. Prime Minister Keir Starmer said a contributing factor to the ruling is that over the past year, the IRGC “backed more than 20 potentially lethal attacks on U.K. soil.”
Predictably, Iran rejected the UK decision, saying it was “unjustified” and “irresponsible.”

New wave of strikes against Iran
Earlier this morning, US CENTCOM completed yet another large-scale wave of attacks against military targets against Iran, with an emphasis on protecting the Strait of Hormuz. Central Command reported that “during the five-hour mission, US forces successfully struck military targets across Iran, including Bushehr, Chah Bahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa, and Bandar Abbas to further degrade Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping.”

44% of Muslims in America Have Favorable View of Hamas
The results of a new Pew Research Center survey show that in the USA, 44 percent of Muslims have a favorable view of the terrorist group Hamas. And 50 percent support the Palestinian Authority, another terrorist organization. That’s a substantial number.
Another Pew poll earlier this year showed that a growing number of Americans, in general, have a “very or somewhat unfavorable view of Israel,” which now stands at 60 percent. According to Pew, that number has gone up “nearly 20 points since 2022.”
In contrast, according to Pew, “Jewish Americans and White evangelical Protestants have mostly positive views of Israel, at 64% and 65% respectively.”

Developing Alternatives to the Strait of Hormuz
As the battle over the Strait of Hormuz continues, there are reports that the oil-producing nations in the Persian Gulf region are rapidly at work creating alternatives for the transport of their oil.
The United Arab Emirates has already increased the amount of oil that is transported through a pipeline that bypasses the Strait entirely. And of course Iran is eager to destroy the pipeline because it doesn’t want the UAE and other oil producers to have that option.
Iraq is now constructing a pipeline that will send oil to Jordan as well as Turkey. Saudi Arabia would also use this pipeline as an alternative to the Strait.
Yet another option under consideration by the UAE is the building of a new port located on the Arabian Sea to the east of the Strait, which would make enable the transport of oil without use of the Strait itself.
While these projects would not provide immediate relief from dependence on the Strait, they would be able to be completed during 2027 and 2028.

Vote to Stop US Aid to Israel Fails
Yesterday, the US House of Representatives voted on an amendment that would have cut off $3.3 billion in financial aid to Israel.
More than 100 Democrats voted to eliminate the funds, along with one Republican, Thomas Massie of Kentucky. But the amendment was defeated 314-104, thanks to strong Republican support.
Though the amendment failed, still, the vote reveals a massive shift of anti-Israel sentiment in the House. Two years ago, in a similar scenario, 37 Democrats voted against aid to the Jewish nation. But this time, the opposition nearly tripped, to 103 voting in opposition.
One of the exceptions was Democratic Representative Steny Hoyer of Maryland, a supporter of Israel who said, “I rise in strong opposition to this amendment, which would dangerously undermine American national security.”

US Continues Strikes on Iranian Targets; Trump Issues Latest Warning
The US has again carried out another wave of strikes against Iranian military targets that are involved in attacking commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
In response, Iran has stepped up the firing of missiles and drones toward Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Iran claims it is targeting US assets in those countries and says it has destroyed US assets such as Patriot missile battery installations and fuel facilities, but there have been no confirmed reports of such happening.
Iran has also pressured Jordan to close the US bases within the country, saying that to do so would mark “a major contribution to saving the Palestinian people and restoring security to the region.”
Recently, Trump has warned that the US will soon strike Iran’s power infrastructure if it doesn’t open the Strait. In response, Iran has told its terrorist proxy in Yemen, the Houthis, to shut down the Red Sea route for commercial ships if the US follows through on its threat.

Last night, President Trump gave a primetime speech in which he announced that declassified intelligence reveals there has been ongoing interference in US elections from China.
He said, “Over a period of years, starting during the 2020 election cycle, the People’s Republic of China carried out what is believed to be the largest compromise of election data in history, resulting in China’s illicit acquisition of 220 million US voter files. That information includes names, addresses, phone numbers, political party preferences, and other sensitive data that would be needed to register to vote and engage in other nefarious activities, which is exactly what was happening. This data loss presents an unprecedented election security nightmare.”
Trump added that “the documents we will release starting tonight have been gathered by the White House Government Transparency Taskforce, a great group of people, along with the staff of the President's Intelligence Advisory Board, supported by our top intelligence agency chiefs, who have all personally reviewed the findings we are presenting this evening and fully confirmed their authenticity.”

US Expands Range of Attacks Against Iran
During the sixth consecutive night of strikes in Iran, US forces struck vital infrastructure in southern Iran, including bridges used to transport weapons, a train station, and an airport.
It appears that one of US Central Command’s strategies is to disable the Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas as much as possible in an effort to ensure the Strait of Hormuz stays open and prevent Iranian attacks on commercial vessels.
By hitting the bridges and railway infrastructure, the US is cutting off the port’s transportation access to Tehran, the Iranian capital.

US Central Command said that both US and allied military forces were defending the base from a missile and drone attack. A number of Americans were injured and treated at the site. Four were taken to hospitals for treatment, then released.
Afterward, Trump is said to have told US Central Command to “rain hell” on Iran. Last night, US forces carried out an eighth consecutive night of strikes that were reported to be “more expansive” than those on the previous nights.

Scripture: Our Sure Foundation and Hope
The apostle Paul greatly rejoiced in the spiritual growth he saw in the lives of the believers at Thessalonica. In doing this, he served as an example of how we, too, should thank God and celebrate the growth we see in our fellow believers.
Paul opened his first letter to the Thessalonians by writing, “We give thanks to God always for you…remembering, without ceasing, your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 1:2-3).
A bit later, he added, “We also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it” (2:13).
Paul was so delighted that he gave thanks yet again, saying, “What thanks can we render to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sake before our God…?” (3:9).
Paul took great joy in seeing His spiritual children grow in their faith, their devotion to God’s Word, their works, their labor of love, and their hope in Christ. He made his joy known to them, and He thanked God for the fruit they were bearing.
Paul’s words and actions here are worthy of imitation. May we, too, cultivate the habit of commending the good we see in the lives of our brothers and sisters in Christ, and express gratitude to God for the work He is doing in them!

Chinese Technology Is Helping Iran
Up until now, many of Iran’s missiles and drones fired at Israel and at US bases in neighboring Arab countries never reach their target due to interceptors or failure.
But more recently, Iran has had more successes, leading to the deaths of US soldiers—two in Jordan at an air base, and a third death on July 18 in Iraq as the service member attempted “a controlled detonation” of a drone from Iran.
According to an article in The Telegraph (a UK media outlet), many of Iran’s missiles have now been “upgraded to make use of China’s encrypted BeiDou-3 satellite-navigation system. This [has] made them significantly harder to stop.”

For some time now, it’s been known that the Chinese military has been building 3D replicas of US warships in the Taklamakan Desert—which is nearly 1,700 miles from the ocean—then practicing missile attacks on them. These models are fairly detailed, including even the radar equipment on the ships.
Why do this? In case the US sends warships to Taiwan in response to a Chinese military invasion of the island.
Satellite imagery reveals that the Chinese army invests months in building these models. President Xi of China wouldn’t expend so much manpower and money on such an effort unless he is serious about taking on Taiwan and being prepared to take on the US as well.

Ninth Consecutive Night of Strikes
The US continues to expand its campaign of degrading Iranian military assets, especially those used to exercise control over the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier this morning, retired US military general Rob Spalding appeared on Fox News to give his thoughts on the possible US strategy currently in place: “I think they’re trying to create a pathway so we [can] control the Strait. I think they’re reducing the distance that arms from Iran can travel to shipping. In doing that, I think we’re setting [up] for something like Operation Southern and Northern Watch, where it’s going to be a long time that we’re there to keep the Strait open.”
Trump said last night’s strikes were done “in honor” of the US soldiers recently killed in Jordan and Iraq, and US Central Command reported that “the US military is holding Iran accountable at the Commander in Chief’s direction.”

It’s now being reported that Iran has moved thousands of nuclear centrifuges to the site for storage and future use. It’s believed Iran is hoping to once again use them to enrich uranium for nuclear weapons.
Trump issues threat to bomb Pickaxe mountain—The Israeli reports have led Trump to say, “Pickaxe is a possible target for a nice big fat shot right near the front door.” The challenge, however, is that the facility is too deep for aerial bombing. The big question is how to bring about sufficient damage. It’d be extremely difficult to obtain intelligence on the precise location of the centrifuges and know where and how to strike the facility. Multiple bombs would be needed to strike the exact right spots in rapid succession to either prevent access to the centrifuges or damage them.
US, Iran continue to escalate war efforts—The US struck numerous Iranian military targets for a tenth consecutive night, and Iran continues to fire missiles and drones primarily at Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain. While the US campaign is extensive, it’s said Trump is still weighing whether to return to all-out war. That would mean expanding the US strikes to include the destruction of power and transportation infrastructure used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and could also include asking Israel to resume fighting alongside US forces.
Iran has avoided striking Israel—It’s very noteworthy that over the past 10 days, Iran has not attacked Israel. More on Pickaxe Mountain as a Possible Target
Israeli intelligence reveals that Iran may be hiding vital nuclear program equipment more than 300 to 450 feet underground at Pickaxe Mountain, which is heavily fortified and comprised of solid rock. A key concern now is whether Iran has already started to use the site for enriching uranium for weapons purposes.
To date, the US and Israel have not attempted to strike the facility. But that may soon change—yesterday, Trump announced, “We’ll be hitting that area very probably pretty soon. And there’s not a thing they can do about it.”
Trump also acknowledged uncertainty about whether Iran has installed nuclear centrifuges in the bunker-style facility. He said, “We don’t have [evidence] on record. It doesn’t mean anything unless they have the material…we follow the material, that’s where the action is.”
But the fact the mountain has a significant security perimeter and the tunnel entrances have been reinforced with concrete for the sake of protection makes the site highly suspicious.

Israeli intelligence reveals that Iran may be hiding vital nuclear program equipment more than 300 to 450 feet underground at Pickaxe Mountain, which is heavily fortified and comprised of solid rock. A key concern now is whether Iran has already started to use the site for enriching uranium for weapons purposes.
To date, the US and Israel have not attempted to strike the facility. But that may soon change—yesterday, Trump announced, “We’ll be hitting that area very probably pretty soon. And there’s not a thing they can do about it.”
Trump also acknowledged uncertainty about whether Iran has installed nuclear centrifuges in the bunker-style facility. He said, “We don’t have [evidence] on record. It doesn’t mean anything unless they have the material…we follow the material, that’s where the action is.”
But the fact the mountain has a significant security perimeter and the tunnel entrances have been reinforced with concrete for the sake of protection makes the site highly suspicious.

Is Regime Change Once Again in Trump’s Plans?
When the US and Israel first went to war against Iran on February 28, 2026, two key objectives were to stop Iran’s nuclear weapons program and degrade its military assets. Beforehand, Trump had said on February 13 that another possible objective, regime change, was “the best thing that could happen.”
But then talk of regime change subsided, and during the lengthy ceasefire during which a Memorandum of Understanding was signed, Trump indicated a willingness to negotiate with those who were in power.
But now there’s speculation about whether regime change is once again a goal. At this point, no official statements have been made.
On Sunday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, “The only reason why the US is conducting strikes is against assets of Iran that are being used to attack global commercial shipping.”
And Richard Goldberg, a senior advisor at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies think tank, observed that “collapsing the regime remains a long-term goal using all forms of national power, but it doesn’t appear to be a military objective right now…it’s focused on securing the Strait of Hormuz.”

Today while in the Philippines at the ASEAN Summit, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, “Iran’s in a lot of trouble…hyperinflation, runaway inflation, high food costs…have all gotten worse.” He added that Iran has “suffered a tremendous amount of damage to their military infrastructure.”
Rubio added that “the problem we’re having right now is they’re not serious about talks. If they’re serious, we’re serious. If they’re not, then we will do what is necessary to protect our interests and also the interests of our allies.”

Why NYC Mayor Mamdani Keeps Threatening to Arrest Netanyahu
Recently, New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani once again announced his determination to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when the latter visits the UN headquarters in September.
But he also had to admit he doesn’t have the authority to do so: “My administration has reviewed every avenue available under applicable law to determine whether New York City could execute the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant if Benjamin Netanyahu came here. It is clear that we do not have the independent legal authority to enforce this warrant.”
So why is Mamdani so driven to keep talking about Netanyahu’s arrest?
As a Muslim Shi’ite, Mamdani adheres to an Islamist ideology that views Israel as an enemy that must be annihilated. And he is doing all he can to promote the false narrative that Netanyahu is a war criminal.
As the mayor of NYC, Mamdani has a large megaphone that allows him to push Palestinian terrorist propaganda into major Western media outlets. When he spoke a couple days ago, he opened by saying, “Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal, the architect of a horrific genocide against the Palestinian people.”
Yet there was no genocide in Gaza. The IDF bent over backward to ensure it was targeting terrorists. It was Hamas’s use of Palestinian men, women, and children as human shields that led to many civilian deaths. Hamas hid its weapons and tunnels beneath schools, hospitals, and neighborhoods—all of which are flagrant violations of the international laws of war.
Mamdani doesn’t care about the truth. As West Point professor John Spencer pointed out in a post on X, “There is/was never a genocide in Gaza. The opposite actually, one side (Israel) vaccinating, feeding, helping with all services (medical, drinking water, power) while taking extraordinary steps to protect civilians in the worst urban warfare scenario arguably ever seen and the other side (Hamas) doing everything it can to get civilians killed, stealing food, targeting civilians that do not do their demands.”
Spencer aptly concluded his post with this declaration: “The mayor is a liar and worse.”
