I was always taught to never strike a woman. I guess I could if I had to, but it would be a very special circumstance.

One has to wonder about any guy who enjoys hitting women. Or someone who can't win against their own sex, so fights against the other. Makes a mockery of the competition.

Someone trains for years to have the opportunity to compete in the Olympics, so I feel for this gal. It is unjust.

This is yet another reason why I'll NOT be watching the Olympics.

They originally competed *naked* in the Olympics. Perhaps we should return to that. It would eliminate any doubt who should fighting against who...

... and might improve viewer ratings to boot!

"Tina Peters Trial Coverage"

I've just finished reading several articles covering Tina Peters trial.

I shouldn't be surprised to see the articles misquoting the recording made of a small portion of my meeting with Tina, nor by the conflicting accounts, but I am surprised.

Eventually there will be trial transcripts, and the truth will out. In the interim, misinformation is abundant.

Clearly, journalism is not about integrity.

But I already knew that from my academic days, when I was interviewed by several "science" journalists because of my discovery. They *never* got it right, and *always* made up the quotes they printed.

Quote marks actually mean, "Here is the way I interpret what he said, in a way that people can understand and that sells print."

Not what I *actually* said.

"Stuck on a Plane to Juneau"

Boarded a plane headed from Anchorage to Juneau for some meetings and my talk tonight.

The plane is fully boarded, but there is no pilot nor 1st officer. Oops. Someone goofed.

Netty sent me the link to a "Learn to fly a plane in five minutes" video on YouTube.

I showed it to the flight attendant and assured her that I am a quick study.

So far, she hasn't taken me up on the offer...

"Clarification Regarding Today's Testimony in the Peters Trial"

During the recording played in court today (a 12 minute excerpt), I am heard saying that Mr Lindell was paying me to travel the country finding fraud. I was not lying, but my statement is not correct. It needs to be understood in context.

The point of my comment was to assure the Mesa County election officials that I was not there to sell them my analytical services. Instead, I was offering to help them at no charge to them.

I had only just met Mr Lindell, and had entered into an expert witness retainer agreement with him, not being entirely sure where things were going.

But I never sent him a bill.

The work I do across the country is volunteer, and people donate to cover my travel expenses. Ask the event organizers... I don't charge a fee. Often, the donations are insufficient to cover my expenses.

This was an important decision I made early on my work, and one that has proven to be the right one. Mr Lindell was my inspiration in this regard, as he has put his entire personal wealth on the line, and is now in considerable debt.

I don't want there to be any confusion concerning my intentions on this matter.
