Noah's Ark: The Russian Expedition [1916]
"In 1916, the Russian pilot V. Roskovitsky reported to the command that he saw a "lying large ship" on the slopes of Ararat. The Russian government was very interested in this find and equipped an expedition to Armenia [of around 100 soldiers], which reached Ararat - I must say that this was the first and last official expedition. All the rest - both before and after - were conducted privately.
Then a revolution broke out, chaos began in the country, and everyone had no time for the Ark. All reports and photographs taken by Russian researchers disappeared into the general confusion. The war and confusion survivors of that ascent claimed to have found the Ark."
