🔺types of dressing in acute burning .

Hamertoma is a benign (noncancerous) tumorlike malformation made up of an abnormal mixture of cells and tissues found in areas of the body where growth occurs. It is considered a developmental error and can occur at a number of sites.
#Causes is unknown or unexplained

#Types of hamertoma
- lung ( common)
- heart
- hypothalamus
- kidneys
- liver and spleen
- lips
- skin on the face and neck .
#Clinical picture
Hamartomas, while generally benign, can cause problems due to their location. For example, when located on the skin, especially on the face or neck, they can be very disfiguring. They may obstruct practically any organ in the body, such as the eye, the colon, etc. They are particularly likely to cause major health issues when located in the hypothalamus(hge), spleen(infarction), kidneys or lips(cosmotic).

#Treatment
-Depends on site, type, extent. -Cryotherapy, ligation of feeding vessels, sclerotherapy, excision or laser therapy.
