Update on incident at The Victoria Inn, Hill Rise, Richmond, London where I was verbally assaulted by a customer (‘Ronnie’) for not wearing a mask.

The police have now taken a statement and are investigating a ‘public order’ offence.

It has also been reported to the licensing authority as the landlady not only effectively endorsed the customers behaviour but was also drinking while on duty.

It’s such a shame, as a professional in the hospitality industry, to see so much ruin already due to the lockdowns, but to be subject to this kind of behaviour (which is no less than nazification of the U.K.) at an establishment I chose to support with the little money I have.

While it’s a shame, these types of incidents cannot be ignored and such establishments do not deserve to be in business at all.

I hope at the very they least think twice before discriminating against mask-exempt customers again.
