I find it incredibly strange that Riseup Eireann are trying to imply that, because we already have a rape problem in Ireland we don't need to focus on all those extra rapists coming in. The general point of many of their posts seems to be that we shouldn't worry about the thousands more criminals the Government are now adding to the mess. And that we shouldn't blame these new to the parish rapists.

No one on our side would argue with the contention that rape happens far too much. One rape is too much. Sentencing is also often a joke.

BUT THESE ARE SEPARATE ISSUES. Why defend people running from criminal pasts and asylum application rejections by other countries? There are no families coming here. Its all single fighting age males. And rapes are increasing. Attempted gang rapes too. Their impact SHOULD NOT BE MINIMISED just because we already had a problem. If anything, local paedo networks are bringing in more rapists to cover up the extent of their own crimes, a nice ancillary benefit on top of the cash they're all making.
