Around the world, many organized Antifa groups have been found to have problems with pedophilia in their ranks.

On March 4, a conservative student group in Ireland revealed that it had completed a year-long project in which it covertly acted as an Antifa cell.

Anti-fascist students in Ireland revealed on their Twitter page that it was a project of the conservative Irish student news agency The Burkean.

The Burkean's actions drew considerable attention to Ireland's official antifa organization, Anti-Fascist Ireland, a group that has come under fire in the past for the history of its alleged founding member and leading figurehead Pat Corcoran - a convicted pedophile.

Corcoran is a former civil servant who worked for the Irish Department of Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht. In 2009, he was found to be in possession of more than 7,000 images and 21 videos of child sexual abuse and torture. He was given a lenient sentence of 3.5 years probation, meaning he never spent a day in prison. The decision sparked outrage among Irish commentators, one of whom cited Corcoran's case as an example of Ireland being a "paradise for pedophiles."

Corcoran was fired from his government post, but around the same time of his conviction, Corcoran joined the left-wing grassroots publisher Indymedia, where he worked undetected until 2013. When the publisher discovered his unsavory history, he was immediately terminated. Indymedia released a statement condemning Corcoran, insisting they had no knowledge of his abusive past.

But Corcoran was not disinvited from all of his activist groups. Independent media and citizen reports from Ireland claim Corcoran did not publicly engage with leftist groups until November 2019.

But Ireland is not the only country whose main organized Antifa group has had problems with pedophilia in its ranks.

In February 2020, seven Russian Antifa members were sentenced to 6 to 18 years in prison for planning bombings to disrupt the 2018 Russian presidential election.

One of the seven main figures, Arman Sagynbaev, was revealed to have a disturbing history with women and girls.

Seven women came forward to share details about their experiences with Sagynbaev, some of which were translated into English. The women, some as young as 14 when they had their experiences with the Antifa leader, were all cruelly sexually abused. They were used as house slaves, forced to shoplift, routinely beaten and threatened with degrading sexual acts, and one of them was even infected with Sagynbaev's HIV.

Some of the attacks were so unconscionable "that there was no room for doubt" that the Anarchist Black Cross - a network of activists who supported political prisoners - withdrew all support from Sagynbaev during his legal battle with the Russian state. They also removed him from their list of political prisoners.

Even the United States had its own case, similar to Ireland and Russia.

In Portland, the epicenter of Antifa activism, a leading activist was arrested multiple times for sexual abuse of minors.

Micah Isaiah Rhodes of Portland Resistance was arrested in 2014 and 2015 for sexually abusing an underage girl and an underage boy. During his court hearings, the county sheriff determined Rhodes had an inappropriate history with minors dating back to his youth. At 14, Rhodes was caught sexually abusing a 9-year-old boy, and at 15, Rhodes was caught with three much younger boys.
