This story about the guy who killed the old nonce in Monaghan is odd.

He killed him, then was killed himself walking down the road a while later.

So, he was careful enough to tell no one about his plans, yet he didn't have the sense to have a car nearby to get home or to get away? His plan was to murder a guy 20 years after he did what he did, he was able to wait that long, yet...no plan for escape? It doesn't add up for me.

I may have an overactive imagination here but the two people who killed him with their car need to be looked at. Were they due to pick him up?

They could have put him up to it, given he was having troubles himself recently, then wiped him with the car afterwards so any connection they had to the murder was cleared.

It's also possible the old paedo was part of a network that was compromised in some way, and they needed him dead.

Alot of hypotheticals, but this is an awful big coincidence that the guy just happens to be mown down after killing a convicted paedophile, and his getaway was apparently just to walk home.
