Recent Irish energy price hikes serve two purposes.

1. Help control inflation by taking money out of the Econony.

2. Return the PUP pandemic payments back to the Government, who are planning on seizing all ESB revenues. They're also getting plenty of it back through the VAT on those energy bills.

All those businesses and publicans that were bribed to keep quiet are giving it all back now, as are the workers who had their jobs taken.

All those people who knew Covid was a scam but kept quiet because they were making out like bandits are now giving it all back in their energy bills.
