I know most people are a aware of this but we need to reiterate it to anyone who will listen:
The "Right to Housing" proposed in the government's referendum is for all RESIDENTS of the State not CITIZENS of the State, as specified in the wording. This places the rights of illegal immigrants to be housed on an equal footing with those of citizens.
As it stands, illegal immigrants are given help that no ordinary citizen could ever hope to receive, their status as illegals gives them superior rights compared to citizens & this referendum will advance this situation intolerably. Any citizen engaging in illegal activity can expect the full weight of the criminal justice system to come down on them but those who's first act in the State is to illegally enter it face no consequences, indeed their illegal activity is ignored & their legal costs when they challenge our immigration rules in court are paid for by hard-presssed tax-payers, at a time when Legal Aid for citizens is virtually non-existent.
