Imagine practically giving up 20km of your country's land just to get recognized, that is a low move.
The Ethiopians, since the independence of Eritrea, have always wished for sea access, and they just got that
The Abyssinian is becoming more and more proud of himself, and I almost do not blame him for this, the meekness of our Political Command in its, perhaps now, naïve wish for peaceful dialogue, has been misplaced in regards to the GERD, now Ethiopia has just violated the territorial integrity of Somalia - and if anything, the Ethiopian does not seem to be concerned with the fact that creditors are basically going to lynch him if they do not pay their debt (they already missed around 30 million dollars, actually, they "REFUSED" to pay it.)
Tensions will rise in the Horn of Africa, and they will not be pretty.

🚗 🇨🇳 🇺🇸 China’s BYD is selling more electric cars than Tesla
🔶️ BYD overtook Tesla to become the world’s biggest electric car company in the final quarter of 2023.
🔶️ The Chinese company sold a record number of cars last year, including 525,409 battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in the three-month period to December 31, according to a stock exchange filing. Tesla said Tuesday it delivered 484,507 — also a record— during the quarter.
🔶️ The rapid growth of BYD, which is backed by Warren Buffett, is a symbol of China’s rising EV industry.
🔶️ Beijing has set a target that at least 20% of new cars sold annually by 2025 should be new energy vehicles (NEVs), which include BEVs, plug-in hybrids and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. By 2035, the government says, NEVs should become the “mainstream” of new car sales.

📢 🇸🇴 🇪🇹 Somalia calls Ethiopia-Somaliland agreement act of aggression
🔶️ Somalia has described an agreement that landlocked Ethiopia made with the self-declared republic of Somaliland over sea access as an act of "aggression".
🔶️ Somalia, however, has reacted angrily to the MoU as it sees Somaliland as part of its territory.
🔶️ It said it was recalling its ambassador to Ethiopia.
🔶️ Somalia's Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Bare urged people to remain calm.
🔶️ "I want to assure them that we are committed to the defence of the country. A part of our land, our sea and our air cannot be violated and I will defend it in every legal way," he said at a hastily arranged press conference.

Instead of being overrun with thugs, murderers, gangsters, and other predators making life impossible for normal people, it's now a thriving place better run than any blue state in America
All it took was Bukele ignoring the "liberal democracy" crowd and locking up MS-13 terroristic thugs instead of letting them roam free
The crime crisis isn't something that has to occur. It's something our elites have chosen to let happen. They want criminals harassing you. They want gangsters making your life miserable. They want you to live in fear, and to be unable to use force against those preying on you. If they didn't want it to happen, they'd do what Bukele has done and toss gangsters in jail and throw away the key

🇺🇸🇦🇺 🇧🇭 🇧🇪 🇨🇦 🇩🇰 🇩🇪 🇮🇹 🇯🇵 🇳🇱 🇳🇿 🇬🇧 A Joint Statement from the Governments of the United States, Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
Recognizing the broad consensus as expressed by 44 countries around the world on December 19, 2023, as well as the statement by the UN Security Council on December 1, 2023, condemning Houthi attacks against commercial vessels transiting the Red Sea, and in light of ongoing attacks, including a significant escalation over the past week targeting commercial vessels, with missiles, small boats, and attempted hijackings,
We hereby reiterate the following and warn the Houthis against further attacks:
Ongoing Houthi attacks in the Red Sea are illegal, unacceptable, and profoundly destabilizing. There is no lawful justification for intentionally targeting civilian shipping and naval vessels. Attacks on vessels, including commercial vessels, using unmanned aerial vehicles, small boats, and missiles, including the first use of anti-ship ballistic missiles against such vessels, are a direct threat to the freedom of navigation that serves as the bedrock of global trade in one of the world’s most critical waterways.
These attacks threaten innocent lives from all over the world and constitute a significant international problem that demands collective action. Nearly 15 percent of global seaborne trade passes through the Red Sea, including 8 percent of global grain trade, 12 percent of seaborne-traded oil and 8 percent of the world’s liquefied natural gas trade. International shipping companies continue to reroute their vessels around the Cape of Good Hope, adding significant cost and weeks of delay to the delivery of goods, and ultimately jeopardizing the movement of critical food, fuel, and humanitarian assistance throughout the world.
Let our message now be clear: we call for the immediate end of these illegal attacks and release of unlawfully detained vessels and crews. The Houthis will bear the responsibility of the consequences should they continue to threaten lives, the global economy, and free flow of commerce in the region’s critical waterways. We remain committed to the international rules-based order and are determined to hold malign actors accountable for unlawful seizures and attacks.
