S&P500 - Bulls need to break 4,200

S&P500 (SPX) has reversed and gained ~12% from the low of 3,638 in the last 45days.

Index is trading at the make-or-break levels and bulls need to break this for the continuation of bullish trend.

Technical Pattern:

1. The bearish harmonic pattern
2. Support turns resistance at 4,145
3. 200DEMA resistance at 4,186
4. The 50% Fibonacci retracement is placed at 4,138

The multiple resistance for bull is between 4,100-4,200.

If bears can grab this opportunity, the test of 3,900 can be on cards.

The bulls need to pull their socks up to break 4,200 and rally towards 4,450 levels in August.

Nifty - Lets go the distance

The twitter was full of overbought market yesterday as the momentum took pause and the Relative Strength Indicator (RSI), an oscillator to measure the strength crossed 75 marks, an overbought zone on daily chart.

I have highlighted the rally even when RSI moves into overbought zone.

On short-term chart, the RSI is hovering at 60 which is termed as bullish entry if it is in sync with daily chart.

Index is trading in the range of 17,200-17,400 since yesterday as the bulls are accumulating energy to go the distance towards 17,700.

Traders should look for longs on the break above 17,415.

Footwear Stocks – The Momentum Breakout

Indian equity markets reversed from an extreme fear stage in June’22 to the greedy levels in August’22.

The Midcap index have rallied over 20% from the June lows and the breadth have been stronger for bulls.

As midcap stocks rally, some of the footwear stocks rallied over 30% since June lows.

Equal Weighted Footwear Index:

We created the proprietary Equal Weighted Footwear Index (EWFI) from the footwear stocks having market cap of +1,000crs. (Chart above)

EWFI consolidated between 700-815 as smart investors accumulated and formed the base for take-off.

Index broke out of the consolidation zone at 815 and went miles to hit the high 898.

The psychological level of 900 acted the resistance but bulls are stronger to break it leading to resumption in bullish momentum.

The short-to-medium term trend seems bullish.
