On Sunday, a man threw a pastry at the Mona Lisa at the Louvre museum in Paris. The glass case was smeared with icing, but the work itself was not damaged, the museum said.
The vandal was able to get close to the painting by disguising himself as an old woman in a wheelchair. "Think of planet Earth, there are people destroying it," the "caking"
man said in French after "caking" the painting.
He was then arrested and taken to the psychiatric infirmary in Paris's police headquarters.
