New York City has a brand: random acts of violence.

A 23-year-old man was set on fire today by an assailant, Nile Taylor, who drenched him with a cup of flaming liquid substance in the New York City subway, at Houston Street.

The victim suffered burns to his neck and upper body but his injuries were thankfully not that bad as he was able to put out the fire pretty quickly. These attacks appear to be semi-random and have become commonplace, with most of their victims being either White or Asian who have been subjected to physical violence.

Taylor was arrested by police when he attempted to flee, and are investigating if his attacks are part of the a longer string of previous fire-based attacks on the NYC subway.

⚠️JUST IN: PGA tour golfer Grayson Murray has died at the age of 30, shortly after withdrawing in the middle of a tournament this week.

Murray played 16 holes at the Charles Schwab Challenge before withdrawing, citing an “illness.”

“We were devastated to learn and are heartbroken to share that PGA TOUR player Grayson Murray passed away this morning. I am at a loss for words,” PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan said in a statement.

Murray shot a two-under-par 68 on Thursday.
