Srirangam is the foremost of the eight self-manifested shrines (Swayam Vyakta Kshetras) of Lord Vishnu . It is also considered the first, foremost and the most important of the 108 main Vishnu temples (Divyadesams). This temple is also known as Thiruvaranga Tirupati, Periyakoil, Bhoologa Vaikundam, Bhogamandabam. In the Vaishnava parlance the term "KOIL" signifies this temple only. The temple is enormous in size. The temple complex is 156 acres in extent. It has seven prakaras or enclosures. These enclosures are formed by thick and huge rampart walls which run round the sanctum. There are 21 magnificent towers in all prakaras providing a unique sight to any visitor. this temple lies on an islet formed by the twin rivers Cauvery and Coleroon.

The Tiger Cave is a rock-cut Hindu temple complex located in the hamlet of #Saluvankuppam near #Mahabalipuram in #TamilNadu, India. It gets its name from the carvings of tiger heads on the mouth of a cave which forms a part of the complex. The β‚ΉTigerCave is considered to be one of the Mahabalipuram rock-cut temples constructed by the Pallavas in the 8th century AD. The site is located on the Bay of Bengal coast and is a popular picnic spot and tourist destination. The temple is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
#VarahaCaveTemple in Tamil Nadu, India. It is part of the hill top village, which is 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) to the north of the main #Mahabalipurm sites of rathas and the Shore Temple. It is an example of Indian rock-cut architecture dating from the late 7th century. The temple is one of the finest testimonial to the ancient Hindu rock-cut cave architecture, out of many such caves also called mandapas. Part of the Group of #Monuments at Mahabalipuram, the temple is a #UNESCO #WorldHeritageSite as inscribed in 1984 under criteria i, ii, iii and iv. The most prominent sculpture in the cave is that of the Hindu god Vishnu in the incarnated form of a Varaha or boar lifting Bhudevi, the mother earth goddess from the sea. Also carved are many mythical figures.
#MahabalipuramLighthouse is located in #TamilNadu, India. It has been open to tourists since 2011. It was closed in 2001 following a perceived threat from the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. The first light was commissioned here in 1887. The lighthouse, with a circular masonry tower made of natural stone, became fully functional in 1904. India's oldest lighthouse, built around 640 AD by Pallava king Mahendra Pallava stands next to this modern structure. The Pallava era lighthouse is a protected monument, maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India.
Nanda Devi Temple dedicated to Goddess Nanda or Parvati is a Hindu sacred site where the faith of many devotees abides. This religious site can be reached by commencing a swift 3 km stimulating trek from Munsiyari town perched at 7,500 feet above sea level. It is one of the oldest temples in Uttarakhand.

#Rajgad (literal meaning #RulingFort) is a hill fort situated in the #Pune district of #Maharashtra, India. Formerly known as #Murumdev, the fort was the capital of the #MarathaEmpire under the rule of Shivaji for almost 26 years, after which the capital was moved to the #RaigadFort. Treasures discovered from an adjacent fort called Torna were used to completely build and fortify the Rajgad Fort.

#GaneshaRatha is a temple in #Kancheepuram district, #TamilNadu, India. It is one of ten rathas ("chariots") carved out of pink granite within the group of monuments of the Pallava Period at #Mahabalipuram, a #UNESCO-inscribed #WorldHeritageSite since 1984. The ratha is an example of monolith Indian rock-cut architecture dating from the late seventh century during the reign of King Mahendravarman I and his son Narasimhavarman I. Initially constructed with a Shiva Linga, it is now deified with a Ganesha deity after the linga was removed.

Harihar gad. One of the greatest adventures you can have here if you are a traveller. It attracts lot of people due to its peculiar rock cut steps. It's near to nashik around 30kms aways and 12 kns from #Trambakeshwar.
This is the best season to go to this fort. Fog and clouds will leave you speechless once you reach to the top. It's so rich full of natural beauty surrounded by it.

The Pandavas came out of Lakshagraha and came to the place of Vateshwar Mahadev on the banks of the river Saraswati.

Here the Pandavas established five Shivlings and built five caves. Which still exists today.
