Rani Sui is a small, lesser known lake, situated away from the hustle and bustle of the towns of #Kullu and #Manali. The Roman Catholic Latin Rite Basilica is dedicated to Our Lady of Good Health. Devotion to Our Lady of Good Health of Velankanni can be traced back to the mid-16th century, and is attributed to three separate miracles at the sites surrounding the Basilica: The apparition of Blessed Mary and the Christ Child to a slumbering shepherd boy, the healing of a handicapped buttermilk vendor, and the rescue of Portuguese sailors from a deadly sea storm. These accounts are oral lore with no written record or attested sources to support them.

#Teppakulam also known as Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam in Madurai, #TamilNadu is a temple surrounded by ghats on all four sides. Situated in the midst of a pond, the colourful walled temple is one of the finest architectural marvels of Madurai. Spread over an area of around 16 acres, it is connected to the Vaigai River through underground water channels.
#KumbakkaraiFalls are lesser known falls in the foothills of the #Kodaikanal Hills. They are located at in #Dindigul district, 9 kilometers from #Periyakulam. #Kumbakkarai Falls are located along the Kodai-Vellagavi-Periyakulam footpath.
These falls have two stages. At the first stage, water collects in huge rock recesses which are each named after wild animals such as tiger, elephant, snake etc. The Pambar river then flows .5 km (0.31 mi) to the second stage before falling as the main #waterfall.
The water originates in #KodaikanalHills and flows along the rocks and finally reaches the foot hills. This place is called Kumbakarai. The travellers come here and take bath in the falls. The water flows throughout the year; but in rainy seasons the flow will be very heavy. Bathing is possible. There is a bus from #Periyakulam with fare of Rs. 5 (6AM,7AM,1PM,3.30PM,4.30PM). There is no guest house

#AdamsFountain is a public display fountain in Charring cross, #Ooty. It was built in 1886 as a memorial to a Governor of Ooty, who was very famous in the region during his tenure. The total cost of finishing the fountain was between Rs. 13,000 to Rs. 14000, which was funded through public funding.
The fountain was originally planned to be placed near the Ooty market. But it was decided later that the site in front of the District collector's office in Ooty was a better place as it had higher number of passers by. After building the fountain, it was discovered that the site did not have the necessary water head for the fountain to function properly. It was finally moved to its present location in Charring cross in 1898. An old melanoxylon tree which stood in the site of the present location of the fountain, which was considered as a landmark in Charring cross was removed for the construction of the fountain.

The #PemayangtseMonastery is a Buddhist monastery in #Pemayangtse, near #Pelling in the northeastern Indian state of #Sikkim, located 110 km west of #Gangtok. Planned, designed and founded by Lama Lhatsun Chempo in 1647, it is one of the oldest and premier monasteries of Sikkim, also the most famous in Sikkim. Originally started as a small Lhakhang, it was subsequently enlarged during the reign of the third Chogyal Chakdor Namgyal and Khenchen Rolpai Dorjee in the year 1705 and consecrated by the third Lhatsun Chenpo Dzogchen Jigme Pawo in the year 1710 C.E. The monastery follows the Nyingma Order of Tibetan Buddhism and controls all other monasteries of that Order in Sikkim. The monks of this monastery are normally chosen from the Bhutias of Sikkim.
The more than a century and a half year old Ringhem Choling Monastery above #Mangan was extensively damaged in the 18 September earthquake with 70% of the structure, including statues inside the monastery, having crumbled away.

The #KoldamDam Hydropower Project commonly known as #KolDam, is an embankment dam on the #SatlujRiver upstream of the #DeharPowerHouse. It is 18 km from #Bilaspur off the #Chandigarh-#Manali Highway (NH-21) near #Barmana, #HimachalPradesh. The main purpose of the dam is hydroelectric power generation and it will support an 800 MW power station. The dam was constructed by National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).

Ngadak Monastery exudes with charm and spirituality. This #monastery located at a short distance from the main town of #Namchi was built during the reign of Chogyal Gyurmed Namgyal by Tensung Namgyal as the palace for Her Highness Pendi Ongmu. Today, you can notice the monastery is supported by iron railings, and a new #Gumpa is also being constructed as the old structure suffered damage due to the earthquake in the 17th century. #Ngadak is one of the oldest #monasteries in Namchi and it is anapt place to seek peace and meditate amidst nature. It is said that, whoever visits here has to make a promise to return again to the Gumpa. In fact the name, Ngadak itself means promise.
