#ThenupuriswararTemple is a #HinduTemple dedicated to the #GodShiva located in the holy village of #Patteeswaram, #TamilNadu, India. Shiva is worshiped as #Thenupuriswarar, and is represented by the lingam. His consort Parvati is depicted as Nyanambikai (Somakamalambigai). The presiding deity is revered in the 7th century Tamil Saiva canonical work, the Tevaram, written by Tamil saint poets known as the Nayanars and classified as Paadal Petra Sthalam. Muthupandal festival celebrated in the temple in associated with the legend.

#NandiHills, or #Nandidurg, is a #HillFortress in the south Indian state of #Karnataka. #TipuSultanFort, a summer retreat of the namesake 18th-century ruler, features stone carvings and wall paintings. Prisoners are said to have been thrown to their death from #TipusDrop, now known for its panoramic views. Local #HinduTemples include the hilltop #YogaNandeeshwaraTemple, guarded by a huge statue of a bull (nandi).
The #MirjanFort is located on the west coast of the #UttaraKannada district in the southern Indian state of #Karnataka. The fort known for its architectural elegance was the location of several battles in the past. It is about 0.5 kilometres from the National Highway 66 and 21 kilometres from Gokarna, the famous Hindu pilgrimage centre on the west coast of India.

Kumbakonam Brahma Temple is a Hindu temple located in #Kumbakonam, Thanjavur district, #TamilNadu, India. This temple is dedicated mainly to Vishnu, as the moolavar presiding deity, and He is known as Vedanarayanaperumal over here. His consort, Lakshmi, is known as Vedavalli.

At the right side of the sanctum sanctorum Brahma is found in a separate shrine. He is flanked by Saraswati and Gayatri. At the left, Yoganarasimha is found with Sridevi and Bhoodevi.

Though the presiding deity is called as Vedanarayanaperumal, this temple is generally known as Brahma Temple.

Someswar Temple is situated in the southern portion of Sri Sarangapani temple. Legend is that the temple shared a larger space during initial construction, but later Sarangapani Temple adjacent to it occupied more space. The temple is one of the prominent Shiva temples in Kumbakonam.
Gandhi Memorial Museum, established in 1959, is a memorial museum for Gandhi located in the city of #Madurai in #TamilNadu, India. Known as Gandhi Museum, it is now one of the five #GandhiSanghralayas (Gandhi Museums) in the country. It includes a part of the blood-stained garment worn by Gandhi when he was assassinated by Nathuram Godse.

Years after the assassination of #MahatmaGandhi, in 1948 an appeal was made to the citizens of India nationwide to build memorials for him. With the help of contributions from poor and rich citizens of India, a trust was established for this cause, the Mahatma Gandhi National Memorial Trust. This museum was inaugurated by the former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on 15 April 1959. #GandhiMemorialMuseum in Madurai comes under the Peace Museums Worldwide selected by the United Nations Organisation (UNO). The palace of Rani Mangammal was renovated and converted into the museum.
#ThiruparankundramMuruganTemple or #SubramanyaSwamyTemple is a Hindu temple and one of the Six Abodes of #Murugan, located at #Thiruparankundram. The temple is built in rock-cut architecture and believed to have been built by the Pandyas during the 6th century. According to the legend it is where #Murugan slayed the demon Surapadman and married Deivayanai, the divine daughter of the king of heaven, Indra, and he is said to have worshipped Shiva here as #Parangirinathar.

The temple is located 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) from Madurai in India. In the main shrine, apart from Muruga, deities of Shiva, Vishnu, Vinayaka and Durga are housed. The temple follows Shaivite tradition of worship. Six daily rituals and three yearly festivals are held at the temple, of which the Kantha Sashti festival during the Tamil month of Aippasi (October - November) being the most prominent. The temple is maintained and administered by the Hindu Religious and Endowment Board of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
Srirangam is the foremost of the eight self-manifested shrines (Swayam Vyakta Kshetras) of Lord Vishnu . It is also considered the first, foremost and the most important of the 108 main Vishnu temples (Divyadesams). This temple is also known as Thiruvaranga Tirupati, Periyakoil, Bhoologa Vaikundam, Bhogamandabam. In the Vaishnava parlance the term "KOIL" signifies this temple only. The temple is enormous in size. The temple complex is 156 acres in extent. It has seven prakaras or enclosures. These enclosures are formed by thick and huge rampart walls which run round the sanctum. There are 21 magnificent towers in all prakaras providing a unique sight to any visitor. this temple lies on an islet formed by the twin rivers Cauvery and Coleroon.
