She was an Italian widow and founder. Her original name was Costanza Cerioli. Her marriage was an unhappy one. All her 4 children and her husband died one by one. She spent her time and her riches in helping the poor. She concentrated on helping the orphans. She eventually established two religious congregations - the Institute of the Sisters of the Holy Family and the Congregation of the Family of Bergamo. Both are charitable groups.

Today is the death anniversary of the Ven. Francisco of the Child Jesus. He was a Spanish Discalced Carmelite brother. His original name was Francisco Pascual Sanchez. Before becoming a Carmelite, he was involved with charitable works. Widows, the poor, maids, and prostitutes found help from him. He continued this as a Carmelite. He established a house that welcomed women who wanted to abandon prostitution.

Please help us, Ven. Francisco of the Child Jesus, to rehabilitate the promiscuous women of our age so that they might become faithful Catholic women. Please prevent them from falling into worse sins, and help them to become loving wives for their husbands and wonderful mothers for happy children. Amen.

Today is a wonderful day because two of our friends are getting married. Please pray that their special day goes off without a hitch and that once they are married, they are able to joyfully face any hardships they encounter together and become stronger as a result.

This is so sad. I'm 100% with the lady who responded. I used to be that kid who got stomach aches and actually physically got sick about having to go to public school. I know that homeschooling my boys not only ensures they get a great education, but that they also experience feeling safe, secure, and stable while being given plenty of time to run around outside. Little kids especially need plenty of time for play in between learning. I strongly recommend it!

A question for you all the families here, what's your take on diet guidelines for your babies? Is there any carnivore family here?

Question for all parents who have either been spanked or spank children themselves: I need feedback.

Is spanking a child considered abuse? I have no opinion. But I'd like to see what others think.

I don’t normally ask for prayers or really get into personal stuff, but please pray for my family down south who are fleeing the wildfire. My family who had to flee, fled with only their car and some clothes.

As a part of telephone etiquette, it's important to not let our phones rob us of quality time with our families. It harms our children more than you think to be glued to our devices. They will interpret it as them not being worthy of our attention. Practice good phone etiquette and put your phone down. Spend time with your loved ones. Prioritize them. Set a timer and don't click "add more time." Spending time with your children is far more precious and these strategies will teach them how to be better at honoring quality time with others.
