And if you do have a bit of Gradgrind in you, be aware that there are way more benefits to nursery rhymes than their cultural significance (which is undeniably huge). They are foundational building blocks to linguistic development. The rhyme schemes and repetition help children learn to recognize the natural patterns in our language. The syntax and vocabulary are invaluable to language development. They are mini stories, paving the way for longer formats like picture books and novels. And they do all of this in a neat little package that holds a strong natural appeal to little ones. I see strong parallels to Shakespeare – sophisticated language patterns, beautiful and unique phrases, timeless stories, all in a neat, pleasing package.

An Aquaintance told me he's taking his girlfriend to murder his baby tomorrow. Please pray for them. I don't know what else I can tell him, but he's told me he has mixed feelings about the whole thing. I tried being logical with him, but he's a bit of a beta bitch and doesn't want to infringe on "female reproductive rights". I feel that the time for talking has passed so I ask every person who reads this to please pray for a divine intervention to stop them from going thru with it.

First State Passes Law Defining Gender As A Person’s Biological Sex At Birth

Kansas has become the first state to adopt a definition of gender with the passage of legislation that keeps men, no matter what gender they identify as, out of women’s bathrooms, locker rooms, sports, and other intimate spaces.

It also separates inmates and restricts participation in sports by biological sex.

The move came late Thursday afternoon when the state legislature voted to override Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly’s veto of S.B. 180, which became known as the “Women’s Bill of Rights.”
