If you grew up where David did...

That would immediately sound suspicious

Because Israel is not soft

It is not rolling

It is not a

โ€œtake a nap under a tree and listen to a brookโ€

Kind of place

It is a rock, dust, thorns, limestone hills, sun that tries to cook you alive, and long stretches of land that look like...

They gave up on being green sometime around Genesis kind of place

So when David says green pastures...

He is not describing something normal

He is describing something rare

Something seasonal

Something you only find if someone who knows the land...

Is leading you there on purpose

Which also means this is not a luxury verse

This is a survival verse

Sheep do not lie down if they are hungry

They do not lie down if they are afraid

They do not lie down if they are stressed, chased, or convinced a predator is about to make them an appetizer

They stand when they are unsure

They stay alert when they feel unsafe

Part 1 / 2

Part 2 continues...

So when David says...

โ€œHe maketh me lie downโ€

He is saying that the Shepherd has brought him to a place so unexpectedly good that...

Even his nervous system finally stops filing complaints

Not because the wilderness disappeared...

But because for a moment...

He is not starving in it

"He leadeth me beside the still waters"

And again...

This is not a decorative sentence

In this land...

Water is not background noise

It is life or death

Most water runs fast through ravines and dry riverbeds that turn violent without warning

Flash floods, slippery rocks, rushing currents, and places where a sheep can be swept away in seconds

Still water is not common

It has to be...

Found

Protected

Chosen

It is the difference between...

Living and not

So...

David is not saying God gave him a pretty view

He is saying God knows where the only safe water is hiding in a land that can kill you if you guess wrong

This verse is not about cozy rest

It is about a Shepherd who knows the terrain

And still finds a way to keep His flock alive in it

David is saying...

I live in a land that can break you

I walk through dust and danger and long, empty spaces

And somehow...

Against all odds...

God keeps leading me to places that should not exist

He keeps finding me green

He keeps finding me water

He keeps finding me rest

Not because the land is kind

But because the Shepherd is

BE HUMBLE

MY BROTHER'S AND SISTER'S its all the small things that helps the most . This is what I would recommend to anybody know Your BIBLE and PRAY a lot. That's it HIS Words and HIS ways . When you spend time with HIM in Prayer you get to know him if you study the BIBLE the Holy Spirit works with you in both these things PRAYER and BIBLE study. The way we know Somebody is determined by how much time we spend with that person. Spend time with CHRIST  HE LOVES YOU .

NKJV Bible. Acts 4:13
[13]Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.

They were uneducated men , they marveled . And they realized that they had spent time with JESUS .

PRAYER OF THOUGHT

Nederigheid is geen zwakte.
Het is geestelijke kracht.

Jezus was nederig.

โ€” Filippenzen 2:8

Hij verhief Zichzelf niet,
en juist dรกรกrom had de satan geen grip.

Hoogmoed was satans val.
Nederigheid is zijn blokkade.

Want:

โ€œGod wederstaat de hovaardigen, maar den nederigen geeft Hij genade.โ€
โ€” Jakobus 4:6

Wanneer wij onszelf niet verheffen,
wanneer wij stoppen met onszelf te eren,
verliest de vijand zijn aanknopingspunt.

Door nederig te zijn
krijgt begeerte geen ruimte.
Het vlees wordt niet gevoed,
het wordt afgelegd.

Zoals geschreven staat:

โ€œWant die Christus Jezus toebehoren, hebben het vlees gekruisigd met de begeerlijkheden en lusten.โ€
โ€” Galaten 5:24

De minste willen zijn
betekent:
ons eigen ik loslaten,
onze verlangens neerleggen,
en Christus ruimte geven.

Dat is niet makkelijk.
Maar het is wรฉl een bijbelse sleutel.

Groet, Richard

Translation of the Dutch Christian Vault post:

Humility is not weakness.
It is spiritual strength.

Jesus was humble.
Not because He was the least,
but because He willingly gave Himself up.

The Scripture says:

"He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross."
โ€” Philippians 2:8

He did not exalt Himself,
and precisely because of that, Satan had no hold over Him.

Pride was Satan's downfall.
Humility is his blockade.

For:

"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."
โ€” James 4:6

When we do not exalt ourselves,
when we stop honoring ourselves,
the enemy loses his foothold.

By being humble,
lust has no room.
The flesh is not fed,
it is laid aside.

As it is written:

"For those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires."
โ€” Galatians 5:24

To want to be the least
means:
letting go of our own self,
laying aside our desires,
and making room for Christ.

That's not easy.
But it is indeed a biblical key.

Greetings, Richard

Christian nationalism: Fight

Scripture: Turn the other cheek

Christian Nationalism: Hate the left

Scripture: Love your enemies

Christian nationalism: America first

Scripture: Seek Godโ€™s Kingdom

Christian Nationalism: Deportations

Scripture: Welcome the sojourner

Christian Nationalism: Take up arms

Scripture: Take up the Armor of God

Christian Nationalism: Trust in Govt.

Scripture: Trust in God

Christian Nationalism is not true Christianity, nor is it scripturally soundโ€”its statist idolatry dressed in religious language. It uses the Cross as a political symbol while denying its sacrificial love. It replaces the Gospel message with a counterfeit message of militancy, pride, arrogance, and political dominion

Despite the current fabricated drama and theatrical divides in the alt-right (TPUSA vs. Candace Owens, Fuentes vs. Owens, etc.), theyโ€™re all collectively working to bring about the same end: Christian (Catholic) Nationalism, theocracy, and the full merger of church and stateโ€ฆ

Be not deceived

" I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and his mourners. "

~ Isaiah 57:18 | KJB

This verse is showing us how God recognizes the sorrows of those mourning their sins, and it also shows us how God will restore those mourning over their sins.
Rest in knowing that through genuine repentance, God will restore you. As long as you truly change your ways that got you to sin in the first place. Let then your eagerness to change form the basis in understanding the 'what, when and how' that got you to where you've come and actively change your ways. Replace the sin by worship and reading God's word instead. The closer you draw to God, the more you will see your old ways die โ€“ and

Like Peter, you have the opportunity to say "yes" to loving Jesus and being loved by Him

No matter how messy your life looks

Or how far from Jesus you feel

There is nothing that can separate you from His love

Your past mistakes or current problems do not dictate your purpose when your life is rooted in Christ alone

The resurrection reassures us that no situation

Or mistake is impossible for God to redeem

There is no fear Jesus cannot conquer and no life He cannot heal

No darkness can stand against the power of the risen God who conquered death on our behalf

There is nothing our God cannot do

Prayer...

Jesus,

Thank You for conquering death for me

I'm thankful that nothing can separate me from Your love

And no mistake can disqualify me from Your plans

Today...

Remind me of who You've called me to be

And when I start to feel unworthy...

Help me remember to reflect on Your resurrection

And rejoice that You alone are my salvation

I love You

And today I choose to Follow You
