Prayer is a powerful spiritual practice that has been used for centuries by almost all religions and cultures
Its my gateway to communicating with God
By expressing gratitude for what appears as a miracle
Making requests for a helping hand
Or seeking clarity for a challenging situation
Deeply rooted in faith, prayer is my way for to surrender my struggles, desires, and intentions
Trusting that all my needs will be met
Some use specific words, scriptures, or rituals to communicate their message
A few of the benefits of prayer include
Inner peace, improved emotional well-being, and a deeper sense of spiritual connection with Our Father
When I engage in prayer...
I begin by setting a clear intention
This intention often revolves around focusing on a specific issue, seeking clarity, or simply expressing gratitude
I find that establishing a heartfelt connection with Our Father helps strengthen my faith and optimism during the act of praying
This allows me to direct my thoughts and emotions towards letting go of my concerns and desires, trusting that my needs will be met
Remember...
Praying is an act of humility
Recognizing that, while I hold some control over my life, ultimately, thereโs a greater force at work
Some people prefer structured prayers, while others opt for more personal, conversational approaches
Whichever method I choose, my ultimate goal is to establish a sense of connection while maintaining faith in the process
When I pray...
I am not trying to control the outcome of a situation
But rather understand and align myself with the larger plan at hand
Through prayer...
Iโve learned to let go of my need for control and embrace the unknown with trust and patience
An answer to prayer may not come immediately
But I continue praying earnestly
This requires patience, determination and, at times, a willingness to wrestle with God for the desired outcome
THE PRINCIPLE OF PERSISTENCE IN PRAYER
~ Psalm 40:1 I
Waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me
~ Psalm 88:1
O LORD, God of my salvation, I have cried out day and night before You
~ 1 Chronicles 16:11
Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore!
~ Psalm 116:2
Because He has inclined His ear to me
Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live

Morning Prayer
January 21, 2026
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of a new day
As the sun rises...
I ask for Your guidance and strength to walk in Your ways
Fill my heart with gratitude and my mind with peace
Bless my endeavors
Open doors of opportunity
And let Your favor rest upon me
Lord,
I lift up those in need
Bring healing to the sick
Comfort to the brokenhearted
And hope to the weary
Protect me and my loved ones throughout this day
And help me to be a reflection of Your love and grace
In Jesus' name
I pray
Amen

"For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the days of thy pride."
This verse of today refers to the arrogance of Jerusalem and how it looked down on Sodom. In her proud, prosperous times, Jerusalem scorned Sodom, but God pointed out that Jerusalem's own sins were far worse, and leading to greater shame and judgement. Yet even though the sins of Jerusalem were greater, God destroyed Sodom, but promised Jerusalem eventual restoration and a covenant for the remnant.
Let this verse remind you to not be prideful or point your finger towards others if you can't see your own wrongdoings. First look at yourself before judging or correcting others. To be able to look at yourself first, means to be able to remain humble, honest and fair...
Have a blessed day ๐๐ฝ ๐

To Thee I Come
I see the scornful glances As I'm passing by their way I don't know what they're thinking
And I can't hear what they say
But it feels like searing anger
As their gaze through me is bored
And so I take my refuge
In the bosom of my Lord
He is all refreshing
He nurtures me with care And in the brightness of His glory
I lose sight that they are near
He steeps me in His mercy And soaks me in His grace Then strengthens me
And sends me out
A hostile world to face

The lesson of this proverb applies well beyond literal buildings
Any effort benefits from the application of wisdom
Businesses do well to use common sense and ethical practices
A wise parent builds a strong family by teaching the children to fear the Lord and to walk in His ways
While godly wisdom...
( ~ Proverbs 1:7)
Does not magically guarantee success
It gives the wise person a much better chance at happiness
Evil, sin, and foolishness...
ost often lead to ruin...
(~ Proverbs 8:32โ36 )
An earlier proverb pointed to God's own creation as evidence of the benefit of wisdom...
( ~ Proverbs 3:19 )
His masterful application of truth is on display in nature...
( ~ Psalm 19:1 )
A person who wields a wise, godly approach sets themselves up for success
Like the sensible man who built his house on a solid foundation...
( ~ Matthew 7:24โ25 )
A wise person undertakes an enterprise and launches it successfully

Solomon wisely built the temple in Jerusalem that his father David was not allowed to build
Therefore...
Solomon is a prime example of building a structure by wisdom
~ Habakkuk 2:9โ12 pronounces
woe on the person who builds a house or town for selfish gain and commits violence to do so
The Lord will judge that person and his work
~ Psalm 127:1
Affirms that the
"contrapositive"
Of this proverb is also true
Contrapositives are statements where both the inputs and outputs are reversed
While the statement remains true
Good wisdom builds a house
An effort undertaken without trust in the Lord is doomed to eventually fail
"Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain"
~ Proverbs 24:1โ12
Exhorts Solomon's son or student
Not to be jealous of immoral people
Or desire their friendship
Solomon contrasts godly wisdom
( ~ Proverbs 1:7 )
With foolishness and calls upon his son to rescue those who are unjustly oppressed
Failing to do so...
Under the all-seeing eyes of the Lord
Cannot be excused
This continues a series of wise sayings endorsed by Solomon
( ~ Proverbs 22:17โ21 )
Solomon continues to list wise sayings
( ~ Proverbs 22:17โ21 )
Rounding out his promised list of thirty teachings
These endorse...
Integrity
Accepting good advice
Reputation
And ethical actions
The lessons also stress godly attitudes about...
Vengeance
Bitterness
And companionship
After verse 23 come additional proverbs
These may or may not have been Solomon's own words...
But at least some appear to be his thoughts
Key points in these verses are the need for...
Impartiality in judgment
godly reputation
And work ethic
My Prayer today...
Lord,
Thank You for the gift of family and home
We pray that our lives and households are built on Your divine wisdom
And established with deep understanding
Just as ~ Proverbs 24:3-4 teaches
Fill our minds and hearts with Your knowledge
So that our homes become places where
Peace, purpose, and grace abound
Help us to apply Your Word daily
Making harmony and love the precious treasures in our rooms
Rather than worldly possessions
Give us discernment to see life as You see it
And the insight to respond with love
Even in anger
So we build up rather than tear down
May our homes be a testament to Your goodness
illed with Your presence
And the riches of Your truth
In Jesus' Name
Amen
