HOW IMPORTANT IS IT FOR
CHRISTIANS TO TRUST GOD ?

It's so important...

James writes, that we should call our worst moments joyful things

Because trials help us trust God more

People who trust God ask Him for wisdom and then take what He gives

People who trust God make a bigger deal about their rewards in the next life

Than their wealth in this one

People who trust God...

Don't blame Him for their desire to sin

They give Him credit for all that is good in their lives

They look into His Word

And they act on what they see there

Someone who hears God's word but doesn't act on it...

Is like a person who looks at their reflection in a mirror

Sees their flaws

And then immediately forgets what they looked like

Failing to make any changes

The passage uses this analogy to show that merely listening to scripture

(the "mirror")

Is useless

True faith requires actively applying its teachings

To correct imperfections

And live righteously

Otherwise...

You're just deceiving yourself

Part 2 continues...

You can't claim to be religious

Or faithful

If you hear God's instructions

But go about your day as if you never heard them

Failing to change your behavior or character

It's about spiritual self-examination

Leading to real-life transformation

Not just passive hearing

Verses 2, 3, and 4

Need to be considered together in order to fully grasp the point James is making

In the previous verse...

He has written that believers must call it joy when trials come our way

Or...

To put it more bluntly...

We should see the good side of bad things happening to us

Verse 2 uses an accounting term...

Which has nothing to do with our emotions

We might feel sorrow or anger over our trials

But we can still tally them under

" JOY "

Here in verse 3...

James gives the beginning of his answer to why God would ask us to do that

In short...

It's about faith

It's about trusting God

God wants us to respond to trials

To the hard things in our lives

In a way that demonstrates our trust in Him

A major theme of the book of James is that God cares deeply about our faith in Him

Faith...

A trusting, humble reliance on God, is how we came into relationship with Him in the first place

That is how we come to trust in Christ for our salvation

And a Christian's growing faith in God...

Is evidence of a growing relationship with Him

So...

James says that when a trial or hardship comes our way...

We should label that moment as joyful

Because it will test our faith

By definition...

Atrial creates a moment where we don't know how things will work out

A trial wrecks our plans

A trial takes away our ability to see the clear path to getting what we think will make us happy

It is in those moments...

That we make life's most critical choices

Either we will decide...

"If God let this happen to me, I will not trust Him. If He will not prevent days like this, I will find someone else to trust."

Or...

The struggle will push us to turn to God for more help

To trust more deeply

That He is with us and for us

To believe that He will carry us through

When we choose to trust Him...

He provides

Our endurance

The ability to keep trusting Him

While trials continue unresolved grows

And since our faith is the most important thing to our God...

THAT IS WORTH REJOICING

HAVE A BLESSED DAY !!!

BIG AURORAS--ESPECIALLY IN EUROPE:

Yesterday's CME impact was perfectly timed for Europe

The severe geomagnetic storm began just after nightfall in the EU

While the New Moon provided dark skies for long-exposure photography

These photos from Brittany, France, sums it up:

"A fantastic show--unbelievable in France!" says photographer Alexandre Croisier, who positioned his camera on the beach near the Lighthouse of Pontusval. "The auroras were visible to the naked eye with nice green and red colors."

There was a good show in Germany too

"You could almost read a newspaper. The landscape was incredibly bright!" says Heiko Ulbricht, who sends picture from Landberg Hill in Saxony

The light show was also seen in Romania, Belgium, Poland, Switzerland, Latvia, Croatia, Norway, Ireland, Denmark, England, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Iceland, the North Sea

After the show ended in Europe...

It continued in the USA with auroras descending as far south as...

Alabama, Georgia, New Mexico and California

Prayer is a powerful spiritual practice that has been used for centuries by almost all religions and cultures

Its my gateway to communicating with God

By expressing gratitude for what appears as a miracle

Making requests for a helping hand

Or seeking clarity for a challenging situation

Deeply rooted in faith, prayer is my way for to surrender my struggles, desires, and intentions

Trusting that all my needs will be met

Some use specific words, scriptures, or rituals to communicate their message

A few of the benefits of prayer include

Inner peace, improved emotional well-being, and a deeper sense of spiritual connection with Our Father

When I engage in prayer...

I begin by setting a clear intention

This intention often revolves around focusing on a specific issue, seeking clarity, or simply expressing gratitude

I find that establishing a heartfelt connection with Our Father helps strengthen my faith and optimism during the act of praying

This allows me to direct my thoughts and emotions towards letting go of my concerns and desires, trusting that my needs will be met

Remember...

Praying is an act of humility

Recognizing that, while I hold some control over my life, ultimately, thereโ€™s a greater force at work

Some people prefer structured prayers, while others opt for more personal, conversational approaches

Whichever method I choose, my ultimate goal is to establish a sense of connection while maintaining faith in the process

When I pray...

I am not trying to control the outcome of a situation

But rather understand and align myself with the larger plan at hand

Through prayer...

Iโ€™ve learned to let go of my need for control and embrace the unknown with trust and patience

An answer to prayer may not come immediately

But I continue praying earnestly

This requires patience, determination and, at times, a willingness to wrestle with God for the desired outcome

THE PRINCIPLE OF PERSISTENCE IN PRAYER

~ Psalm 40:1 I

Waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me

~ Psalm 88:1

O LORD, God of my salvation, I have cried out day and night before You

~ 1 Chronicles 16:11

Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore!

~ Psalm 116:2

Because He has inclined His ear to me

Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live

Morning Prayer
January 21, 2026

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of a new day

As the sun rises...

I ask for Your guidance and strength to walk in Your ways

Fill my heart with gratitude and my mind with peace

Bless my endeavors

Open doors of opportunity

And let Your favor rest upon me

Lord,

I lift up those in need

Bring healing to the sick

Comfort to the brokenhearted

And hope to the weary

Protect me and my loved ones throughout this day

And help me to be a reflection of Your love and grace

In Jesus' name
I pray

Amen

๐Ÿ“– Bibleverse of the Day ๐Ÿ—ฃ ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿชญ
Wednesday โ€“ January 21, 2026 ๐Ÿ–‹

"For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the days of thy pride."

~ Ezekiel 16:56 | KJB

This verse of today refers to the arrogance of Jerusalem and how it looked down on Sodom. In her proud, prosperous times, Jerusalem scorned Sodom, but God pointed out that Jerusalem's own sins were far worse, and leading to greater shame and judgement. Yet even though the sins of Jerusalem were greater, God destroyed Sodom, but promised Jerusalem eventual restoration and a covenant for the remnant.
Let this verse remind you to not be prideful or point your finger towards others if you can't see your own wrongdoings. First look at yourself before judging or correcting others. To be able to look at yourself first, means to be able to remain humble, honest and fair...

Have a blessed day
