God gives us the strength we need to pull through any and every thing we encounter in our lives. With it, we're also given a good amount of courage through His Spirit. Let us humbly put our faith in that for today...

While these words were spoken to Joshua when he took over for Moses as Israel's leader

They are also applicable to us.

Take a moment and read

Out loud and see that God's promise to be with us is for all who truly call upon him

Listen to Jesus' words...

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

~ Matthew 28:18-20

As he promises his disciples to be with them always, even to the close of the age

Remember God's promise,

Declared in an Old Testament blessing and reiterated

"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee"

~ Hebrews 13:5


God, Our Father

Our Shepherd

Is Always Near

Even If Ot Doesn't Seem So

We Cannot Go Anywhere
Without His Presence Being
Near Us And in us

We Are Not Alone
We Don't Have To Be Afraid
We Can Have Great Courage

Not Even Death Can
Separate Us From His Love

~ Romans 8:35-39 says...

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."



My Prayer...


Be Near,
Dear Father,

Not just in your promises

Or in your spiritual presence

But also in our awareness

We need to know you are near

When we respond to the incredible opportunities you place before us

We need to be confident in your help and sustaining love as we face the rigorous challenges in our lives

O, Lord,

I trust in your unfailing love,

So I commit to being strong and courageous because you are with me.

In Jesus' name

When the moment comes that you realize you've done someone else wrong, confess this honestly to the one you've mistreated – in whatever way that was. Don't let shame, guilt or pride stand in your way of owning up for what you've said or done. Apologise and make amends. Also repent, if possible. We're all human: and therefore always imperfect in comparison to the One who made us in His image. Dare to always examine your own actions by reflecting on them through prayer...

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE WORLD TODAY

~ John 7-11
~ Zechariah 4:6

Perhaps one of the most confused and abused subjects in the Word of God today is the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit.

LET'S LOOK AT THREE THOUGHTS ABOUT HIM...

1. HIS PROPER RECOGNITION

A. Who is the Holy Spirit?

-He is not a second class God

-He is not a substitute for God

-HE IS GOD- He is no less God than God the Father or the Son.

B. When did the Holy Spirit begin His work in the World?
( ~ Genesis 1:2 )

-Some believe that God the Father was in the Old Testament,

-God the Son in the Gospels, and

-God the Spirit after Pentecost

C. God the Spirit, God the Father, and God the Son are not three

Gods but one God manifested in three personalities.

-They are Co-equal, Co-eternal, and Co-existent

II. HIS POWER REQUIRED

There is a great need today that we learn the importance of the power of the Holy Spirit in the work of God today.

ONLY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN:

A. Convict of sin
( ~ John 16:7-8 )

B. Convert the sinner
( ~ John 3:5-6 )

C. Conduct the services
( ~ John 4:23-24 )

D. Comfort the saints
( ~ John 14:16-18 )

E. Conquer old Satan
( ~ I John 4:4 )

III. HIS PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP

Thank God that the Holy Spirit is a person, and because of this we can have a personal relationship with Him.

Sometimes we do things or allow things in our lives that hinders this personal relationship.

Remember...

This does not destroy our sonship,

But our fellowship.

HERE ARE SEVEN DONT'S THAT WILL ENABLE US TO HAVE A BETTER RELATIONSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT...

1. Don't grieve Him
( ~ Ephesians 4:30 )

2. Don't quench Him
( ~ I Thessalonians 5:19 )

3. Don't despite Him
( ~ Hebrews 10:29 )

4. Don't ignore Him,

To the seven churches in
~ Revelation 2 and 3
The Word of God says...

"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches."

5. Don't lie to Him
( ~ Acts 5:3 )

6. Don't blaspheme Him
( ~ Matthew 12:31-32 )

7. Don't resist Him
( ~ Acts 7:51
~ Genesis 6:3 )

AN EXPERT

IN THE BIBLE




1. Esau is an expert Hunter in forest

~ Genesis 25:27

And the boys came to full growth; and Esau became a man of the open country, an expert Hunter



2. Bezalel is an expert Designer in art

~ Exodus 35:30,35

The Lord has chosen of Bezalel... and he has made him full of the spirit of God, in all wisdom and knowledge and art of every sort; As an Expert Designer of beautiful things



3. David is an expert Player in Music

~ 1 Samuel 16:18(16-18)

Who (David) is expert at playing, and a strong man and a man of war, and he is wise in his words, and pleasing in looks, and the Lord is with him



4. Hiram is an expert Worker in Brass

~ 1 Kings 7:13,14

Then king Solomon sent and got Hiram from Tyre... he was full of wisdom and knowledge and an Expert worker in brass



5. Ezra, Apollos are an expert Teachers in the Bible

~ Ezra 7:6

Ezra was a teacher well versed in the Law of Moses

~ Acts 18:24

Now a certain Jew named Apollos, a man of learning, and he had great knowledge of the holy Writings



6. Daniel is an expert Wiser in all vision

~ Daniel 1:17

Now as for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and made them expert in all book learning and wisdom: and Daniel was wise in all Visions and dreams



7. Paul is Expert Trainer in the Law

~ Acts 22:3

Paul studied under Gamaliel and was thoroughly trained in the law of our ancestors
