"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

~ Mark 12:30-31

Sometimes the most important things are not hard to understand

However...

We must not treat these clear commands as simple

They challenge us to honor God with all we have, are, and dream

God wants us to love him with every fiber of our being and also to love those around us

All of his demands on our character boil down to honoring these two great principles that transcend law and bring the character of God to hearts

It all comes down to loving God and others with love that has hands and feet

It's something we not only feel, but we actively and sacrificially live in our daily lives

My Prayer...

Almighty God,

My heavenly Father,

I love you

I love you for your plan to send your Messiah as a descendant of Abraham and David

I love you for your unfailing love

I love you for your listening grace that hears my humble prayers

I love you for sending Jesus and for starting your church

I love you, Almighty God, for your steadfast presence and love in my life

Now I ask the Holy Spirit to show my love for you by loving my neighbors

I Love You Dear God
In the Name Of Jesus

Amen

For me it is God that makes me glad,
no: very very joyful, to be alive...
For
without Him, where would I be?

Hear, O Israel: Adonai is our God, Adonai in One! Blessed is God's name; His glorious kingdom is for ever and ever!

And you shall love Adonai your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. And these words which I command you this day shall be upon your heart; teach them faithfully to your children, speak of them in your home and on your way, when you lie down and when you rise up. Bind them as a sign upon your hand; let them be a symbol before your eyes. Inscribe them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates

Psalm 23 ~ KJV

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

โ™ฆ๏ธ1 Corinthians 15:51-52 ~Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changedโ€” in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

๐Ÿ’ 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 ~ For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

UNDERSTANDING THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYING THROUGH SCRIPTURE

Recognizing the power of prayer
Prayer is a powerful tool that allows us to communicate with God and seek His guidance, provision, and intervention in our lives.

When we pray, we are acknowledging our dependence on God and inviting Him to work in and through us.

It is a way to express our faith and trust in Him and to experience His love and grace firsthand.

Praying through Scripture adds an additional layer of power to our prayers, as we are aligning our thoughts and desires with the Word of God.

REALIZING THE SIGNIFICANCE OF ENGAGING WITH SCRIPTURE

Engaging with Scripture is essential for our spiritual growth and development.

The Bible is Godโ€™s written word, and it contains wisdom, guidance, and truths that can transform our lives.

As we immerse ourselves in Scripture, we gain a deeper understanding of Godโ€™s character, His plans for us, and the principles that He wants us to live by.

By praying through Scripture, we are not only reading the words on the page, but we are also actively engaging with what God is saying to us.

COMBINING PRAYER AND SCRIPTURE FOR A DEEPER SPIRITUAL CONNECTION

When we combine prayer and Scripture, we create a powerful synergy that deepens our connection with God.

Praying through Scripture allows us to speak Godโ€™s words back to Him, reminding ourselves of His promises, His faithfulness, and His unfailing love.

It strengthens our faith and helps us align our desires with His will.

Moreover...

Praying through Scripture opens our hearts to receive divine insights and prompts the Holy Spirit to speak to us more clearly.

It is a means of not only talking to God but also of listening to Him

PREPARING YOURSELF FOR PRAYING THROUGH SCRIPTURE

Finding a quiet and comfortable space

To fully engage in praying through Scripture, it is essential to find a quiet and comfortable space where you can focus and minimize distractions.

This could be a corner in your home, a park, or any place where you feel at peace.

Clear away any clutter that might hinder your concentration and create an atmosphere of calmness and tranquility.

SETTING ASIDE DEDICATED TIME FOR PRAYER

Just as finding the right physical environment is crucial, setting aside dedicated time for prayer is equally important.

Life can often get busy and chaotic, but carving out a specific time slot for prayer demonstrates your commitment to prioritize your relationship with God.

It can be in the morning, during your lunch break, or before you go to bed โ€“ choose a time that works best for you and stick to it.

CULTIVATING A RECEPTIVE HEART AND MIND

Before beginning to pray through Scripture, take a moment to calm your mind and open your heart to receive what God wants to reveal to you.

Practice deep breathing or engage in a few moments of silent meditation to clear your thoughts and focus your attention on God.

Allow yourself to become fully present in the moment, surrendering any distractions or worries to Him.

SELECTING THE APPROPRIATE SCRIPTURE

Choosing a specific book, chapter, or passage

The Bible contains 66 books, each with its unique message and purpose.

When praying through Scripture, it helps to choose a specific book, chapter, or passage to focus on.

Consider selecting a book that addresses a particular theme or one that you feel drawn to explore. Alternatively, you can follow a reading plan or devotional guide that provides daily passages for meditation and prayer.

FINDING RELEVANT VERSES BASED ON PERSONAL NEEDS OR CIRCUMSTANCES

Another approach to selecting scripture for prayer is to find relevant verses based on your personal needs or circumstances.

Are you seeking guidance, comfort, or strength?

Are you facing a specific challenge in your life?

Pray for the Holy Spiritโ€™s guidance as you search the Bible for verses that speak directly to your situation.

Godโ€™s Word has the power to bring hope, encouragement, and transformation to every aspect of your life.
