Update:
The fire is half a mile north of us.
Command central is in the park next to my neighborhood.
No wind right now.
As long as the fire doesn’t burn south we will be ok.
The kids and I are locked up safe at home and are armed.
My concern is that they just said there is boarder patrol searching the hills.
Why?
Shit.
We don’t see illegals up here.
I don’t know why we don’t have planes dropping water.

I just asked Archangel Michael what the status is. He said we are safe from the fire.
I asked about the shooter(s), he said “they are dead.”
Five minutes later my daughter got a text from her friend whose friend is law enforcement.
He texted,” He killed himself.”

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — Multiple law enforcement agencies are responding to a shooting incident in Coeur d'Alene on Sunday afternoon.
Coeur d'Alene police and fire crews and the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office are on the scene near Canfield Mountain.
The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office said as of 7:45 p.m., members of SWAT located a man dead on the mountain with a firearm nearby. The sheriff's office said the shelter-in-place order has been lifted, but noted that a wildfire is still active on Canfield Mountain.
Residents in the area are advised to be prepared and ready to act if further orders are given. The sheriff is expected to hold another press conference at 9:30 p.m. for an update to the situation.
The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office said crews with the Kootenai County Fire and Rescue responded to a wildfire at Canfield Mountain around 1:30 p.m. The sheriff's office said during a press conference that someone then shot at the responding firefighters.
2 people are confirmed dead as of Sunday at 4:30 p.m. The sheriff's office said both people who died are believed to be fire personnel.
The sheriff's office says an active investigation is ongoing, and police are taking sniper fire on the mountain. The sheriff also said there is still an active fire in the Canfield area as crews cannot safely enter the area to fight the fire.
KCEM said as of 7 p.m., Canfield Mountain has been designated as a "no-fly zone," including a strict prohibition on drone use. KCEM says unauthorized aircraft or drones in the area pose a serious risk to firefighting and law enforcement operations.
15th Street next to Cherry Hill BMX Track is also closed. Residents are urged to avoid the area.

Is good to have more than one large dog (Cane Corso's #1 for me as protectors of property and family).
So...this feels very strange. I was literally told less than 2 hours ago by a police officer en route to the incident that there could be as many as 4 shooters. Now, the Sheriff has said a single shooter has been killed and they're lifting the local shelter in place order.
One comment said the shooter was moving from hide to hide making it looking like there were more than one shooter. If that's the case, he's likely got serious training. If not? There's still a problem (other shooters) that hasn't yet been fully dealt with.
Latest totals say 11 first responders have been shot, 4 are dead. They're saying 3 fire fighters and 1 deputy were killed by the shooter.
