Let me explain it clearly.
Before leaving office, Biden tried to sabotage Trump by signing a bill that blocked him and Americans from drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico. The bill specifically mentions the Gulf of Mexico, so drilling there is prohibited. However, it doesn't mention anything about the Gulf of America. By simply changing the name, we can now drill for oil in the Gulf of America.
It all makes sense now.

π₯π₯Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., is pursuing legislation to amend the Constitution so that President Donald Trump can serve a third term. βItβs a unique time in history,β Ogles told Just the News.
The 22nd Amendment currently limits presidents to serving two terms, whether consecutive or not. The House of Representatives proposed the amendment in 1947, two years after Franklin D. Roosevelt died after winning four straight terms, and it was ratified in 1951.
Ogles said Trumpβs loss in 2020 interrupted his ability to serve two consecutive terms, and he believes Americans would benefit during a turbulent era to have the choice of letting Trump serve eight straight years if they wanted.
βItβs a unique time in history when you have someone who was elected president, then didnβt win reelection, and then the American people said βOh crap, we messed up. We want President Trump,ββ he told the Just The News, No Noise television show Friday night.

βItβs only happened one other time in history and so I think this is the opportunity to let President Trump and JD Vance serve two terms,β he explained.
Ogles said he has already introduced legislation β known as a joint resolution β to start the constitutional amendment process, which would require three-fourths of the states (38 of 50) to ratify. Democrats would likely strongly oppose the process.
Ogles said he also is pursuing a second bill certain to garner attention β the PEDO Act β designed to punish any federal worker who destroys evidence from the Jeffrey Epstein case.

Hereβs a summary of H.R. 25, the "FairTax Act of 2025," introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives on January 3, 2025:
### Overview
H.R. 25 aims to overhaul the U.S. federal tax system by abolishing income, payroll, and estate/gift taxes, dismantling the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and replacing these with a national sales tax. The bill, referred to the Committee on Ways and Means, seeks to promote economic growth, fairness, and simplicity in taxation, with primary administration handled by the states.
### Key Provisions
#### Title I: Repeal of Existing Taxes
- Income Taxes: Repeals Subtitle A of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) of 1986, eliminating personal and corporate income taxes and self-employment taxes.
- Payroll Taxes: Repeals Subtitle C, removing Social Security and Medicare payroll taxes, with funding for Social Security shifted to general revenue.
- Estate and Gift Taxes: Repeals Subtitle B, ending federal estate and gift taxes.
- Effective Date: These changes take effect January 1, 2027, with conforming amendments to the IRC.
#### Title II: National Sales Tax
- Imposition: Introduces a 23% sales tax (tax-inclusive rate) on the consumption of goods and services in the U.S., starting in 2027, applied to the gross payments for taxable property or services.
- Rate Structure: Post-2027, the rate combines a general revenue rate (14.91%), an old-age/survivors/disability insurance rate, and a hospital insurance rate, adjusted annually by the Social Security Administration.
- Exemptions: No tax on business-to-business transactions, exports, investments, or state government functions. Used property and intangible property (e.g., copyrights) are generally exempt.
- Administration: States primarily collect the tax, receiving a fee, with the federal Sales Tax Bureau overseeing non-participating states. Businesses collecting tax receive an administration credit (up to $200 or 0.25% of tax remitted).
- Family Consumption Allowance: Qualified families receive a monthly rebate to offset tax on purchases up to the poverty level, calculated based on family size and HHS poverty guidelines.
- Special Rules: Includes provisions for financial intermediation services (e.g., bank fees), bad debts, and transition credits for inventory held before 2027.
#### Title III: Other Matters
- IRS Phase-Out: Ends IRS funding and operations by 2029, transferring records to the Social Security Administration for benefit calculations.
- New Bureaus: Establishes an Excise Tax Bureau and a Sales Tax Bureau within the Treasury Department to manage remaining taxes.
- Social Security Adjustments: Indexes benefits to include the sales tax impact on the Consumer Price Index.
#### Title IV: Sunset Clause
- Condition: The sales tax and all related provisions expire if the Sixteenth Amendment (authorizing income tax) isnβt repealed within 7 years of enactment, effective after December 31 of that year, with the Sales Tax Bureau terminating 6 months later.
### Congressional Findings
- Criticizes the current tax system for hindering growth, competitiveness, savings, and fairness, while praising a national sales tax for simplicity, privacy, and economic benefits. Advocates for state-level administration due to existing expertise.
### Technical Details
- Amends the IRC of 1986, redesignating it as the IRC of 2025, with extensive conforming changes to remove obsolete provisions and align with the new tax structure.
This bill represents a significant shift from income-based to consumption-based taxation, aiming to simplify compliance and stimulate economic activity, contingent on constitutional amendment for permanence.
