BREAKING: The USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier collided with a merchant vessel this week while near Port Said, Egypt, according to the US Navy.

US Sixth Fleet spokesman Timothy Gorman said there were no injuries or flooding, and the collision did not endanger the carrier.

“The propulsion plants are unaffected and in a safe and stable condition. The incident is under investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available,” he said in a statement.
