You are more than enough
More than I could ask
You are more than enough
My present and my past
When I'm running on empty
You fill me like a flood
Jesus, You are more
More than enough ✨

Yesterday we talked about Git, and today let's look at Bash. They're closely related.

Some of you may have heard of Bash before, but for anyone who's new:

Bash(Bourne again SHell) is a command-line shell that lets you interact with your computer by typing commands instead of clicking.Think of it as a translator between you and your computer's core engine.

When you use a computer normally, you click on folders and icons. When you use Bash, you interact with the computer purely through text.

Some basic Bash commands you'll often see:

- "pwd" → Show your current location
- "ls" → List files and folders
- "cd" → Move to another folder
- "mkdir" → Create a new folder
- "touch" → Create a new file
- "echo" → Print text or write text to a file

If you've used Git commands like "git add", "git commit", or "git push", you've already seen Bash in action. That's why learning Bash makes using Git much easier.

And yes—AI tools often generate Bash commands too. Understanding them helps you know exactly what they're doing instead of just copying and pasting.✨

💡Tech of the day: GitHub

A few days ago, we talked about Git. Since Git and GitHub are often mentioned together, I thought it would be a good time to talk about GitHub too.

You might have heard of it before, but just in case you haven't...

GitHub is a website where you can store your coding projects online. It works really well with Git and makes it easy to:

- 📂 Save your projects
- 🔄 Keep a backup of your code
- 🤝 Work with other people
- 🌍 Share your projects with anyone

A simple way to think about it:
Git tracks the changes in your code, while GitHub is where you can keep and share those Git projects online.

If you're learning to code, I think creating a GitHub account and uploading even your small projects is a great habit to build. You'll also be able to look back and see how much you've improved over time.

Do you already have a GitHub account? 👀

God's forgiveness doesn't echo our past.

Human hearts may forgive, yet still remember.
A forgotten wound can return with a single word.

But God's mercy is different.
When He forgives, He doesn't keep score.
He doesn't chain us to yesterday.
Grace rewrites what guilt could never erase.

The cross didn't just cover our sins it carried them away.

እውነትም አስተውለነው ከሆነ we complain too much abt things that we already have.
So let's begin this challenge today. Mike suggested doing it for one week from july 13-19, but let's aim to make it a lifestyle.
No more complaining—only gratitude, faith, and words that give life.he also mentioned "abracadabra," a word often linked to Aramaic and commonly used by magicians, sometimes explained as meaning "I create as I speak." While that historical origin is debated, it reminds us of a biblical truth: God creates by His Word, and our words also have the power to build up or tear down.✨

💡NO COMPLAINING NO NEGATIVE WORDS CHALLENGE ✨
This week—and beyond—let's choose words that honor God. 🤍
Invite your friends to join the challenge.Together, let's replace complaints with gratitude and help each other notice God's blessings every single day. ✨

ከዛ የሰው ልጅ ማንነቱ ነው አይደል በቃ የሆነ ሊለቀው የማይችለው ሰርፆ ውስጡ የገባ እስተውለነው ከሆነ we prefer seeing the bad side of things rather than seeing the good እና ብቻ እንደዛ ምናምን እያልን ስናወራ ነበር.....

ከዛ tonight I almost broke the challenge😂.i was abt to complain and blame myself for something I should’ve known🫩
my mind was ready to start the negativity session, but then I remembered the challenge.Time to learn from it instead of complaining.✨️እና አልደግመውም ስህተቱን ብዬ መንገዴን ቀጠልኩ እላችኋለው🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️

እና ሌላኛው ደግሞ በጣም ማማርርበት ጉዳይ ስለ ዲፓርትመንቴ ነው😁for a long time, I kept complaining about Software Engineering and even questioned why I chose this field.የተሳሳተ ቦታ ነው እንዴ የገባሁት?ምን እሰራለው እዚህ እኔ እኮ ስለዚህ ነገር ምንም አላውቅም፤ባውቅ እራሱ ምንም አልሰራም ....
Then I realized the problem wasn't the field—it was that I was learning different subjects without seeing how they all connected. I focused too much on theory and not enough on building.
I think i must change the way i see things.....

So instead of complaining, I'm starting again with a different mindset.

For the next 10 days, I'll be sharing the topics I believe every Software Engineering student should understand,(roadmap ምናምን እያልኩኝ አላደርቃችሁም ግን እኔ እራሴ ስለምፈልገው ነው አውቃለው ለማለት ድፍረት እንዲሆነኝ ከሚታየው ነገር ሁሉ ጀርባ ምን እንዳለ ለማወቅ ነው I'm not sharing this as a roadmap or a checklist.these are simply the foundations I believe every Software Engineering student should understand while learning and also building projects alongside them.

You might be thinking, "In the age of AI, why learn all this if AI can generate the code?"

We'll definitely use AI—it has become an essential tool.but AI is most powerful when you understand what it's generating.knowing the fundamentals helps you ask better questions, spot mistakes, improve the code, and build software with confidence.

I'm learning too, so let's learn, build, and grow together—one step at a time.✨

Hey there እንዴት ናችሁ?so as i said yesterday we're gonna start the day one ....✨እና በብዛት ስለምንሰማቸው ነገሮች ነው የምናነሳው
Day 1: Computer Fundamentals 💻

Every software we build runs on a computer, so it makes sense to start by understanding the machine behind the code.

Today, let's look at the foundation:

🖥️ Hardware – The physical components of a computer like the CPU, RAM, and storage.

⚙️ Operating System (OS) – Windows, Linux, or macOS. It manages your computer's resources and allows programs to run.(ኮርሱን ወስደን ነበር ግን i don't even remember a thing😁)

💡 Programming Fundamentals – Variables, data types, conditions, loops, functions, algorithms, and problem-solving. These concepts stay the same even if the programming language changes.

⌨️ Terminal/Command Line – A powerful way to interact with your computer that every software engineer should become comfortable using.(u might remember that I shared a post about Bash a few days ago. Bash is one of the command-line tools we use in the Terminal. At the time, it may have seemed like just another tool, but now you can see where it fits in the bigger picture. It's one of the foundations every software engineer should be comfortable with.

I believe strong foundation makes learning everything else much easier. so እዩት ብቻ

Tomorrow, we'll see how the Internet works and how our applications communicate with each other. 🌐✨

እንዴት አደራችሁ let's go to day 2....
Day 2: How the Internet Works 🌐

Yesterday, we looked at the computer itself. Today, let's see how computers communicate with each other.

Every time you open a website, send a message, or watch a video, many things happen behind the scenes.

Here are the basics every Software Engineering student should know:

🌍 The Internet – A global network that connects millions of computers.

📍 IP Address – Every device connected to the internet has an address, just like every house has one.

🔎 DNS (Domain Name System) – It translates website names like "google .com" into IP addresses that computers can understand.

📨 HTTP & HTTPS – The rules (protocols) that allow browsers and servers to communicate. HTTPS is the secure version that protects your data.

🤝 Client & Server – Your browser or mobile app is the client. The computer that stores and sends the website or data is the server.

Understanding these concepts will make learning APIs, backend development, and web development much easier.

Tomorrow, we'll see programming Fundamentals—how we communicate with computers and the core concepts that every programming language is built on.
