Hadith
Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to supplicate: "Allahumm-aghfir li khati'ati, wajahli, wa israfi fi amri, wa ma Anta a'lamu bihi minni. Allahumm-aghfir li jiddi wa hazli, wa khata'i wa 'amdi, wa kullu dhalika 'indi. Allahumm-aghfir li ma qaddamtu wa ma akhkhartu, wa ma asrartu, wa ma a'lantu, wa ma Anta a'lamu bihi minni. Antal-Muqaddimu, wa Antal-Mu'akhkhiru; wa Anta 'ala kulli shai'in Qadir (O Allah! Forgive my errors, ignorance and immoderation in my affairs. You are better aware of my faults than myself. O Allah! Forgive my faults which I committed in seriousness or in fun deliberately or inadvertently. O Allah! Grant me pardon for those sins which I committed in the past and I may commit in future, which I committed in privacy or in public and all those sins of which You are better aware than me. You Alone can send whomever You will to Jannah, and You Alone can send whomever You will to Hell-fire and You are Omnipotent)."

I used to wonder: Why does hardship come upon hardship?
Why isn’t there an opportunity for wounds to heal before another wound is placed upon them?
Then I came across the words of Allah:
“So He repaid you with sorrow upon sorrow, so that you would not grieve.”
And I realized that there is a sorrow that drives away another sorrow, and that a new trial may itself be a mercy that overshadows the pain of an old trial.
Why isn’t there an opportunity for wounds to heal before another wound is placed upon them?
Then I came across the words of Allah:

I used to wonder: Why does hardship come upon hardship? Why isn’t there an opportunity for wounds to heal before another wound is placed upon them? Then I came across the words of Allah: “So He repaid you with sorrow upon sorrow, so that you would not grieve.”…
It is as though Allah, through His subtle gentleness, draws your heart away from becoming attached to a single wound, until you become occupied with Him alone and forget that wound, then the next, and the next, until you are no longer a captive to any wound, but only a captive to Him.
It is a reward, yes, a reward!
For when the heart is overwhelmed by the multitude of blows it receives, it becomes completely broken before Allah, and is freed from dependence upon any cause or created being. All consolation then becomes with Allah alone, and all hope rests with Allah alone.
So what I once thought was constriction was, in reality, preparation for me to experience complete detachment [from everything besides Allah].
I can only say:
“Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return; and to Him is the final return and destination. So to Allah belongs all praise, in the beginning and in the Hereafter.”
Sheikh Abu al-Ala al-Rashid (translated by akh Ibrahim al-Ansari)

Have you thanked and praised Allah today?
Aisha reported: One night in bed, I missed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ so I looked for him and my hand touched his feet while he was in prostration. They were raised, and the Prophet ﷺ was saying,
“O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your anger and in Your forgiveness from Your punishment. I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot fully praise You, for You are as You have praised Yourself.”
