May Allah grant thabāt to the Imām of thabāt and ṣabr in our time, Walīd al-Sinānī, and hasten his release.
From prison, he courageously referred to his former companion, their Grand Mufti المفتي العام, as المفتري العام — the infamous fabricator and distorter of truth.

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “All of my ummah will be safe, except those who commit sin openly, and it is part of committing sin openly for a man to do something at night, then in the morning when his Lord has concealed him, he says: O So and so, I did such and such last night, when his Lord had concealed him all night, but in the morning he discloses that which Allah had concealed for him.” Narrated by al-Bukhari (6069) and Muslim (2990).

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Indeed, Allah, Blessed and Exalted, has roaming angels who seek out the gatherings of dhikr. When they find a gathering in which Allah is remembered, they sit with them and surround one another with their wings until they fill the space between them and the lowest heaven.
When the people disperse, the angels ascend to the heaven. Allah عز وجل asks them—although He knows them best:
‘Where have you come from?’
They say: ‘We have come from servants of Yours on earth who glorify You, declare Your greatness, declare Your Oneness, praise You and ask of You.’
Allah says: ‘What do they ask of Me?’
They say: ‘They ask You for Your Paradise.’
Allah says: ‘Have they seen My Paradise?’
They say: ‘No, O Lord.’
Allah says: ‘What if they had seen My Paradise?’
The angels say: ‘They seek Your protection.’
Allah says: ‘From what do they seek My protection?’
They say: ‘From Your Fire, O Lord.’
Allah says: ‘Have they seen My Fire?’
They say: ‘No.’
Allah says: ‘What if they had seen My Fire?’
They say: ‘And they seek Your forgiveness.’
Allah says: ‘I have forgiven them, given them what they asked for, and granted them protection from that which they sought protection from.’
The angels say: ‘O Lord, among them is so-and-so, a sinful servant who merely passed by and sat with them.’
Allah says:
‘I have forgiven him as well. They are a people whose companion will not be unfortunate.’”

Narrated Um Salama:
(the wife of the Prophet) Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) woke up one night in a state of terror and said, "Subhan Allah, How many treasures Allah has sent down! And how many afflictions have been sent down! Who will go and wake the lady dwellers (wives of the Prophet) up of these rooms (for prayers)?" He meant his wives, so that they might pray. He added, "A well-dressed (soul) in this world may be naked in the Hereafter."

Commentary of Scholars:
Part 1:
Ibn Hajar (may Allah have Mercy upon him) said:
“meaning, I am able to do whatever he expects I will do.”
[Fath al-Bari]
Imam Nawawi (may Allah have Mercy upon him) said:
“The scholars say that expecting the best of Allah is to expect that He will have Mercy on him and relieve him of hardship.”
[Sharh Sahih Muslim]
Imam Nawawi (may Allah have Mercy upon him) also said:
“al-Qadi ‘Iyad said that this means He will forgive him if he seeks such, will accept his repentance if he repents, will answer him if he supplicates, and will suffice him if he asks for something. It is also said that it refers to having hope and longing for relief, and this is more correct.”
