I had two issues in my team this week: O’Reilly and Minteh, both at risk of not starting. I was already planning to sell Minteh next week and felt he was the bigger minutes risk, whereas with O’Reilly I wanted to see a confirmed benching before moving him on. As a result, Minteh was the one I decided to sell.

The replacement options were Gordon, Kudus or Tielemans. None of them really stood out, but I was in a unique position with enough money in the bank to afford Gordon. He’s the most expensive of the three, but if he gets the minutes, I think he’s worth it given his penalty and set-piece duties.
