🚨 NEW in FPL: Defensive Contribution Points ✅

A brand new rule has arrived in Fantasy Premier League.

🔹 Defenders will now earn 2 points for every 10 combined:
• Blocks
• Clearances
• Interceptions
• Tackles

🔹 Midfielders and Forwards need 12 of these actions to earn the same 2 points but they are also rewarded for recoveries.

🔹 Defensive contribution points are capped at 2 points per match for all players.

🚨 FPL 2025/26 – ASSIST RULES UPDATED! ✅

1️⃣ ‘Intended destination’ no longer matters if the goalscorer receives the ball inside the box after only one defensive touch—assist awarded regardless.

2️⃣ For passes outside the box, the usual assist rules apply (intended target still matters).

3️⃣ If a pass takes two or more defensive touches before reaching the goalscorer, no assist is given.

4️⃣ Defensive errors no longer disqualify assists, except for misplaced defensive passes.

5️⃣ The ‘forced’ element is removed from the handball rule—assists now count even if the handball wasn’t forced.

6️⃣ These changes would’ve resulted in 41 extra assists last season.

🚨 NEW FPL Update: Extra Transfers for AFCON! ✅

AFCON runs from GW17 to GW22, with some players leaving early before GW16.

To help manage your squad, FPL will top up your free transfers to 5 in GW16 (1 regular + 4 extra).

👉 To get the full 5 transfers, make sure you have zero free transfers banked by the end of GW15.

Key players to watch: Salah, Mbeumo, Wissa, Ait-Nouri, Marmoush, Jackson, and Sarr.

GK saves now earn 2/3 BPS based on shot location

Penalty saves: 8 BPS (down from 9)

Goalline clearances: 9 BPS (up from 3)

Penalty goals: 12 BPS for all positions

Tackles: 2 BPS per tackle won (simplified)
