His book The Genius of China, about 3,000 years of inventions and discoveries of the Chinese, has been published in forty-four languages and in six Chinese translations, and by UNESCO in minority languages. He and his wife Olivia are the authors of Aesop: The Complete Fables (a Penguin Classic) and The Sphinx Mystery. They have both done archaeometric work in Egypt and Robert has decoded the threefold geometrical enigma of the Giza Plateau in Egyptian Dawn and presented the clear evidence that the dates of the Old Kingdom require revision. Robert was appointed visiting professor of the history and philosophy of science at Tsinghua University in Beijing and adjunct professor of humanities, history, and philosophy of science at an American university. He is chairman of the Ancient Egypt Foundation, which is funding the cleaning and restoration of the astronomical ceiling at the Temple of Khnum at Esna on the Nile.
