Williams aims to cut drag!๐Ÿ‘€

๐Ÿ’กHere is how:

๐Ÿ”ด More streamlined and smaller engine cover (shark fin is larger).
๐ŸŸก Front wing: less mid-span load and less cambered scoop.

Also:
๐ŸŸฃ Switched to push-rod rear suspension!
โšช๏ธ Updated floor edge
๐ŸŸข Overbite

Will they top the speed traps? ๐Ÿค”

Remarkably, Mercedes had a pull-rod rear suspension in โ€˜23 but used a push-rod in โ€˜24 and will keep it for โ€˜25.

Williams kept the pull-rod for last year but is finally switching to the one (push-rod) provided by Mercedes.

Haas' new rear wing is unlike anything seen so far: the cut on the endplate is so extreme that it almost traverses the entire wing!

Other changes:
๐Ÿ”ต Cut behind the front wing endplate;
๐ŸŸก Underbite โžก๏ธ overbite inlets;
๐Ÿ”ด Seemingly larger undercut.

Ferrari's finally switched to Pull-Rod!๐Ÿ’ก

A risky change, but possibly worth it...

SF-24: Push-Rod (wheel pushes the rod, which acts on the spring/damper).

SF-25: Pull-Rod (wheel PULLS the rod).

Carbon fibre is more resistant to tension than compressionโžก๏ธLighterโœ…
Also, lower Centre of Massโœ…

Its impact on aero is complex, though!

Many other interesting details:
- New front and rear wing
- Completely different mirror mounts
- Wing on the upper part of the sidepod
- Reworked engine cover, sidepods, floor...

A risky bet considering Ferrariโ€™s strong season-end performance, but it was likely needed to maximize the carโ€™s potential.

Who looks favorite for the title: McLaren, Ferrari, or RedBull? ๐Ÿ‘€
๐Ÿ‘10โคโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ2
๐Ÿ’กFerrari boldy developed an almost WCC-winning car for the last year of regulations:

- Front suspension: switch to Pull-Rod, different wishbone attachments;
- Sidepods: larger undercut, complex design;
- Shrunk engine cover, sharkfin almost removed, new central outlets;
- Completely new rear wing: different V-shape and tips.

And these are only the most evident changes!

Will this big bet pay off? ๐Ÿ‘€

McLaren has a completely different upper wishbone compared to Ferrari! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

1๏ธโƒฃ More vertical rotation axis:
- Upper wheel upright will move longitudinally (variable wheelbase);
- More anti-dive;
- Different airflow.

2๏ธโƒฃ Wider wishbone angleโžก๏ธResists better to longitudinal forces, worse to lateral ones.

Both concepts can work, but which one will have a higher performance ceiling? ๐Ÿ‘€

Haas didn't use DRS in their fastest lap as they didn't perform any proper push-laps!

LEC set his best time very early in the morning โžก๏ธLess track grip โžก๏ธCould not stay full-throttle as much as others.

The RB21 looks surprisingly similar to the RB20.

RACE SIMULATIONS - DAY 2

๐ŸŸ NOR was quickest in all 3 stints, and his last one (on C2) was MONSTROUS!

๐Ÿ”ดLEC and ๐Ÿ”ตANT were over 0.5s/lap slower over 54 laps. NOR's advantage in the last stint was above 1s/lap!

NOR was 2.128s/lap quicker than in his 2024 race! Different track conditions, sure, but expect the 2025 cars to have a much quicker pace than in 2024.

Looking at the telemetries of several laps, no car was gaining substantially over the others: power modes seem similar across the 3 teams.

Last year's race pace in Bahrain, for comparison.
