The workers from 260 companies will benefit from wage increases and a Career Development Plan.
What a morning at the NTUC Hospitality and Consumer Business Cluster Symposium!
Guest of Honour NTUC Secretary-General Ng Chee Meng kicked off the event with an inspiring speech on the importance of upskilling, enhancing labor-management relations and upholding tripartism.
We had the privilege of hearing from two keynote speakers – Dr Zhang Kaifu from Alibaba International; and Mr Laurence Liew from AI Singapore. Their insights into how AI and other technologies are transforming business and industries were truly mind-opening. The panel discussion sparked many questions on re-imagining a sustainable and thriving future workforce.
We also witnessed the signing of four Memoranda of Understanding aimed at strengthening Workplace Safety and Health standards, and supporting workers' upskilling and job creation – these underscore our unwavering commitment to improving our workers’ welfare and work prospects because #everyworkermatters.
Thank you to everyone who made this event a success! 🌟
