Major Redesign of Android App
In 12.3 Beta version of Telegram for Android, the app’s interface has undergone a substantial redesign.
What’s new:
• The side menu has been completely removed. Key sections such as "Profile", "Contacts", and "Calls" have been moved to the bottom navigation bar, while the remaining options are now located in a three-dot overflow menu positioned directly above the chat list.
• The "Settings" section is now accessible in two ways: via a large "Settings" button on the Profile tab, or through the three-dot menu at the top of the screen.
• Long-pressing the "Profile" tab in the tab bar allows you to quickly switch between your signed-in accounts. This can also be done from the Settings section.
• The global search bar is now available directly above the chat list and remains visible while scrolling.
• The button for creating a new Story has been moved to the top of the screen.
• The icons next to items on the main "Settings" screen have been updated.
• The active chat folder is now displayed in a capsule-style design.

In the 12.3 Beta version of Telegram for Android, a feature has been discovered that allows users to get a summary with key points for long posts in channels.
The summarization button is pinned to the top-right of a post. The original content can be restored by tapping the label displayed above the publication text.
The @tginfo editorial team believes that message summarization is handled by the decentralized compute network Cocoon, which serves as Telegram’s in-house solution for reducing the costs of AI-related tasks and message translation in chats.

— Two chat search buttons are now a conscious decision – they appear in the toolbar and, as before, at the top.
— The toolbar for selecting multiple contacts and chats has finally been redesigned.
— The segmented control in profiles has been redesigned – the "Posts, gifts, photos,…" line now looks fresh, like a folder list.
— The internal browser is now similar to Safari 26. It's now minimalist, and when scrolling vertically, the address bar collapses to a minimum, while other elements are simply hidden.
— The top bar has been redesigned. Elements are now broken into several droplets. This also applies to the "Chats" menu. Be careful that horizontal wallpapers may not display correctly, which is especially annoying.
— The warning message (pop-up) has also been redesigned; the text is no longer bold, and the eye is now more drawn to the large blue button.
