TON Foundation Appoints Gerardo Carucci as Chief Marketing Officer

Zug, Switzerland – October 1, 2025 – The TON Foundation, steward of the TON Blockchain, has appointed Gerardo Carucci as Chief Marketing Officer, effective immediately. Carucci, a veteran marketer who led global campaigns at Apple, including the launch of Apple Park and digital strategies at Nike for the Olympics and FIFA World Cup, will drive TON's executive marketing, creative strategy, brand building, user growth, and community engagement.

Telegram Wallet to Offer Tokenized U.S. Stocks & ETFs This October

Telegram is teaming up with Kraken and Backed Finance to integrate xStocks—tokenized representations of U.S. equities and ETFs—into its Wallet starting in October.

Key highlights:

• Over 60 U.S. stocks and ETFs (e.g. Apple, Tesla, S&P 500) will be available in tokenized form.

• Each token is backed 1:1 by the underlying asset, ensuring that the digital version tracks the real security.

• Trading will operate 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday, beyond typical U.S. market hours.

• Initially, the feature will run in Telegram’s custodial Wallet. A rollout to the noncustodial TON Wallet is expected later.

• Since its debut on Kraken and on-chain platforms, xStocks trading volume has already crossed several billion dollars.

Cautions & Limitations:

• Users will not receive voting rights or direct shareholder privileges from these tokens.

• Availability will depend on the user’s jurisdiction and regulatory compliance. Some regions may be excluded.

• While regulatory bodies like the U.S. SEC are exploring the approval of tokenized equities, oversight and clarity remain evolving.

Pavel Durov Announces AI Lab Launch in Kazakhstan

This lab marks the first collaboration between Telegram and the supercomputing cluster Alem.ai in Kazakhstan. 
Durov announced it during his speech at the Digital Bridge 2025 forum in Astana.

According to Telegram’s founder, the new development merges blockchain and AI technologies. 
It will first appear in Telegram’s mini-app ecosystem.

Durov also reminded the audience that Kazakhstan was the location of Telegram’s first regional office:

“We are launching a joint project between Telegram and Kazakhstan’s supercomputing cluster, initiated by the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence. This technology will allow over a billion people to use AI functions confidentially, transparently, and efficiently. We hope Kazakhstan’s cluster becomes the first major provider of computing power for this network.”

Just as we predicted earlier, Telegram seems to be taking the third path developing its own #AI. That’s likely why ,we haven’t seen any AI features yet. The partnership mentioned earlier is only for one year, and as Elon said, no deal has been signed. The real question is : how long will they wait before implementing it? Or is there another AI collaboration planned to fill the gap? What we can be fairly sure of is that Telegram is currently building its own AI, and most likely, Nikolai Durov is either leading the team or playing a major role in its development.

Telegram For Android And iOS Updated to Version 12.1

Here’s what’s new in the October update:

• Comments in group calls: 
Participants in video chats (up to 1000 members) and group calls can now send comments and reactions directly in the call interface. These messages are temporary and disappear a few seconds after being sent.

• New profile color settings: 
Starting today, in addition to standard color schemes, you can use your collectible gifts to uniquely style your profile cover and replies. Available to Premium users only.

• Contact notes: 
When adding or editing a contact, you can leave a text note visible only to you in the user’s profile under the “About” section.

• Liquid Glass design on iOS 26: 
Telegram’s interface has been updated with the Liquid Glass concept. This version introduces transparent elements with soft light refraction effects during scrolling. The design will continue evolving gradually.

• Topics and real-time response rendering in AI bots: 
Bots now support chat topic separation. They can also display responses in real time without waiting for full generation.

• Option to display TON blockchain gifts in your profile
